I just cannot understand why Ford uses full folding rear seats instead of 40/60%. With 1 Isofix child seat installed, the storage options behind and below there are just useless. So hiding some small stuff like a tablet or other small stuff, just becomes useless. Big miss.
The other thing I cannot understand is the installation of a roof antenna on the rear of the cabin. How to mount a larger roof tent now?
Is it just me or do more people see these as serious design flaws?
Also there is a nice storage place in the top of the dash, which is not present in the European version. So another out of sight space missing.

I’d like to know the history of these European trucks by ford? I just got through listening to a guy talk about ford in their horrible rusting F150. I’m just wondering what kind of quality trucks were getting in America.

Basically the GVWR of the Global Ranger is much greater. Max Payload 2700lb on the Global version, 7,700lb towing. A lot of the comments by the presenters, seemed incorrect. In ASEAN countries they also use them like cars. Many countries drive long distances Europe would b vthe exception

The main difference between the Global version and the US version is they beefed up the suspension to handle 300 pound drivers and passengers 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What a joke, it's a marketing scam it's the same truck, yeah you might have added a few little changes to the grill and different engine, but it's the same platform, check the specs convert any measurement from imperial to metric for any part of the truck internal / external it's the same, same interior, same switches, same same same

Only midsize truck with metal bumpers. Also highest payload and towing in class. Same frame as the f150 -1 cross member.

      270HP 310 Ft-Ib torque.

Close to the same size as early 2000's f150, and it will fit in a parking spot.

Using the proven and reliable ROW platform as a base to design from is a huge advantage for Ford. The N.American Ranger will be a big seller, especially for midsize buyers who also value a fast truck right off the lot, but with a very tunable powertrain.

I know, right? Why do these posts so often get ruined by lame music which makes it harder to hear the speaking. The voice is the information we want to hear, not so EDM concert

The American Ranger is just a better truck. Faster, more comfortable, more durable, better looking.

Because the rest of the world uses trucks to do truck stuff and in the US we use trucks to go to Starbucks.

For Europe It's all just related to the diffent fuel prices and tax systems. The biggest failure for me is that the space below and behind the rear seats is useless when having 1 isofix child seat installed. Volkswagen Amarok has 40/60% divided rear seating.

I shouldnt have to do 'truck stuff' every day just to qualify for buying a truck and I'll do whatever I want with my truck while I own it. The right truck can pull family duty but a car or suv cant pull truck duty.

SkiRaceGeek doesn’t quite make sense. Americans have more vehicles per capita than any other country in the world. If you’re in Europe or Australia you’re far more likely to have just one vehicle. So if you need a truck, what do you use as your daily driver? That truck. In the US many people have their work/daily vehicle, weekender and statistically an extra car. So...

+hungrynapps there are many different engine options in the global. From 130 to 213 hp... I have a 2018 3.2l 5-cyl diesel crew cab wirh 200 hp and that has plenty of power and space. But it's of course no f150.
