That's a critical design error. Other cars get to toggle the front screen or headup displa from the steering wheel. The cheap RAV4 places the cheapest plastic switches down near the splashing soda drinks !!!!

Do not buy this if you want to tow anything since the accessories are not available and will not be for months. It seems Toyota forgot to plan this part. I got mine in January and we are now in April and I am still waiting for the wiring but being told that it will not be available for a while. Totally unacceptable !!

I recently bought 2019 RAV-4 XLE Hybrid. After I bought the car, I noticed the car makes sort of loud high pitch noise when I put the gear in reverse. When I told the dealer about it, they told me it's normal and all the hybrid cars make that noise. Did you notice any noises in the reverse gear when you did the test drive? Thank you,

Is it for warning blind people at the back? Just curious. As in Toyota jeff road test i heard that noise too. Do you recommend hybrid le or xle regular? As in Canada price are same for both.

RAV4 and CRV will last longer but Mazda CX5 is more fun to drive.

“Built a car for people who buy vehicles.” “Adequate power”. Nice ways of saying it’s ok, but not the same as saying good or excellent. Driving it reminded me of a first gen Prius. The motor develops peak power at 5000 rpm, and it almost feels binary; it’s either on or off, and its strangely loud and unpleasant sounding by 2019 standards. The cvt only accentuates this. The electronic power steering has little feedback and is light. Interior is nice, but nav only comes in the top limited trim, which seems odd at the price point. It’s not horrible, but it’s like driving an econo appliance and everyone gives it a pass because it’s Toyota. I think people would be way more critical if they drove it without knowing who made it. BTW, Honda called, and they want their civic type R design team back.

8 speed automatic? Oh man that's really going to suck. A lot of downshifting and up shifting. That's a unpleasant drive.

Finally a nice looking SUV to challenge the expensive RDX and the not so expensive CX-5. I can see myself driving this even as a guy. The CR-V feels girlie.

Had a 2013, loved it. Great bang for the buck then. Not so much now, price and trim levels have multiplied, and not for the better. Also, 2018 version had a POOR rating in iihs small overlap for passenger...that is simply unacceptable and the primary reason I won't be replacing mine with this. CX5, Tuscon, and Sportage all get Good ratings and have for a few years... leaning Tucson SEL at just under 25k, it has so many more features than the base Rav...that costs more.

For those to that in love with the CRV, becareful. Your engine damage is heading your way. Or trade it in before the engine die. Oil dilution.

Looked up a '19 RAV4 listed at 28k with hubcaps! For that much it should have standard aluminum wheels! Hubcaps should be extinct!

They downsized the interior and cargo space. These won't sell as well compared to the last generation. It's more expensive than before. I'm sure a lot of people will spend 30k+ for a new suv with little options. Toyota continues to mess up there line of cars when Hyundai and Kia are catching up. First the supra with the BMW motor and now a smaller version rav4 wtf Toyota why did you copy the jeep! The looks must be more important than anything.

Rob Hargraves nope check the cargo space its smaller than last generation. You're better off getting 2013-18 model or the Honda CRV.

If you want to spend $26,000+ on a car, your $500 phone shouldn't be the deal-breaker. My Toyota is compatible with my Android, but I still don't use it.
