GMC gets its version of the Silverado Trail Boss, the first ever Sierra AT4 with a factor two inch lift. Easily the best combination of comfort, capabilities and styling.

Why do you recommend 18" wheels over 20" wheels for off-roading?

With 18s you have more tire sidewall, with 20s one small rock at the wrong angle and you are screwed

Just a question, this truck has no diesel option? Sorry for the question , I never interested a truck before, but those GMC's are incredible, sorry for my English to, is not my native language.

I totally agree with your commentary. Outside it is a winner and a great truck. That tailgate is amazing and I just love it. The interior is nice BUT that screen is to small. Second I hate that break or seam in the center console near the arm rest. Even in person I often see them misaligned. It just turns me off in a 50K plus vehicle.

Great review. The interior is still very GM'ish. Still no interior upgrades from the early 2000s Chevy/GMC trucks. GM trucks can't compete with Ford and Ram interiors. The exterior is nice.

Adding a lift kit does not invalidate your new vehicle warranty on GM products.
However, if you added a non-GM component (for this example: a 2" rough country levelling kit), the GM warranty would no longer apply to the non-GM components that replaced the OEM components.
Also, if the modification caused pre-mature failure of a GM-OEM-component, there may be limits to the warranty coverage of the affected components.
If there are any DSM's reading this, feel free to chime in.
I believe the Magnusson (sp?) Moss Warranty Act (USA) states something along the lines of what I have written here. It limits the 'disclaimers' an OEM can apply to their warranties.

I really wish the 6.2L was in the Trail Boss! I can’t say this enough! GM slipped bad on not offering it there. Just offer an LTZ Trail Boss if you have to damn. Trail Boss looks much better to me.
