I installed a Moto Fab 2.5" Leveling kit on my new 5th Gen 2019 RAM 1500 Big Horn Sport. This kit isn't made for 5th Gen Rams, but it works just fine. No Modifications needed for this kit to work on the new trucks. 10/10 Recommend. Make sure you browse the channel and subscribe, as always, thanks for watching!

Great video man! One thing I do differently when undoing the upper ball joint, I loosen the nut off until about the last 2-4 threads, and hit the knuckle with my plastic mallet to brake the ballpoint free. Makes chances of destroying the ballpoint boot almost 0. But definitely a very instructive video!

why did u remove caliper? ive done several of these kits myself but never removed caliper usually let rotor caliper and all just drop down while removing the strut but I have not done new ram yet, I will in 2 days so was wondering why caliper was taken off?

Just cause it fits, dont mean much. It's a TERRIBLE idea to do this even on all the 4th gen trucks without replacing the upper control arms and ball joint meant for the 2" lift.....to re-attain proper geometry. Do small amount of research and you will verify this easily. The original ball joints WILL fail with this. Common sense should tell you that a $55 lift might be problematic.

Have a 2.5" spacer like this on my 07 suburban and haven't had an issue with my ball joints or a-arms and I've had the truck for 6 years and my truck is used heavily.

      Good video.
I’m picking up my ‘19 Laramie next week. Looking for a lift not so much for aesthetics but to minimize the drop with the weight of a plow (it’s going to drop X amount anyways with or without a lift kit). Any thoughts on why the bumps are harsher and the reason for a shorter ball joint life? I’m guessing the ball joint might be at the limit of its designed movement.
Are there any caster/camber adjustments on these trucks?

Do you have the off road package in yours. I also have a motofab 2" inch level in mine with off road package. It has that 1 inch factory lift. I'm being told now that the leveling kits aren't recommended in the off road package and was hoping you or could elaborate as to why?

I'm being told the same thing, I just bought a Laramie, offroad package, like yesterday, pick it up friday after berliner install, i inquired about leveling with the moto fab spacers and they are saying these wont work, because it has a 1" lift in front already, with stock uca's, so basically they are telling me you will be at 3.5" lift in front on stock uca's and that will wear out ball joints fast, this is all what I'm being told by dealer, when I receive the truck tomorrow I will do some crawling underneath and report back

Lol "when you go with the 2" over the 2.5" you can really tell it isn't level".... nah dude, I have the 2" and there is zero difference in appearance over the 2.5". I can understand wanting to justify why you paid more for that level, but you are not seeing a "huge" difference from a .5"

Whatever you guys do, I wouldn’t recommend the 2in rough country leveling kit. I worked a deal and had the dealership install 2in leveling kit and 35x12.50x20 Toyo MT on factory 20s. I don’t rub anywhere at all, perfect clearance. Only issue I have, it’s still nose diving. I just ordered the 2.5 kit used in this video.

When you put this kit on, was the springs put back on the same position when taking them off or did y’all have to spin the springs for it to fit back on?? I got the same kit from the link you added ,took it to a local shop they put it on but it makes knocking sounds on speed bumps and small potholes on the roads. I took it back they told me ,it might be the kit,and if y’all had to sping the springs to fit it back on ?

Me and my buddies took on this project last weekend. Took us three hours for the first side (some of that waiting for the pickle fork to show up) and an hour on the second side. Got it aligned the next day ( looks like they used 2018 specs) and it drove great. Picked up the Fuel Mavericks in 20” with the BF Goodrich K02’s 275/65R20 (about 34” tall). Looks and rides great! I figure if the ball joints or bushings go out prematurely, I will just upgrade them at a later date. Thanks again for the video, very helpful. I kept wondering why you guys were using the open end wrenches instead of sockets...then I realized that you need to hold the bolt on the bottom with the smaller wrench or socket to keep it from spinning 🤣. One note...make sure that the threaded studs are in good! I had one back out when tightening. Good luck!

Great videos! I just purchased my 2019 Ram Laramie Sport - Ivory White with the stock wheels and tires. I'm looking to lift or level as well as add the spacers (from your other video) to give it that "stance." I'm curious if while you're doing all this, do you recommend a different shock from stock? Any issues with a 2 1/2" lift instead of level if I prefer that look? Thanks-
