You may have noticed that, on occasion, your 2017 Jeep Cherokee shuts off while driving--specifically, when you come to a stop for a few moments. This is start stop technology, a fuel economy feature designed to promote fuel efficiency and improve gas mileage. The feature uses an autostop and autostart/restart feature to cuts down on gas consumption while idling at a stop.

what about an option to permanently disable this moronic thing? Meanwhile please tell me how much fuel you geniuses think to save from an idle engine and most important why i would like to wear my engine faster than it would normally do?

I'd recommend you include a part about how you can adjust the amount of time the car waits to cut off the engine. Based on YouTube videos alone, a lot of folks appear to dislike this feature and being able to set the delay so that it practically never activates is very important to know.
