Autocar reviews the Jaguar C-X75, the incredible concept hybrid car with the performance of a Bugatti Veyron and emissions of a Toyota Prius.

SUBSCRIBE to Autocar:

Six months after Jaguar announced the C-X75 hypercar would stay as a concept car and never go into production, Autocar thought this story was dead. But then, we got a call asking us to go and drive it and find out just how far Jaguar and Williams engineering had managed to push the envelope. With 390bhp of electric drive and a 500bhp twin-charged 1.6-litre petrol engine it will accelerate to 100mph in less than six seconds.

Autocar, the world's leading motoring magazine and website, delivers industry-leading news, the most in-depth car reviews and opinion from our team of experts. Our presenters include some of the world's top motoring journalists who have unrivalled access to the world's fastest, rarest, most exotic and most exciting cars on some of the world's best roads and race tracks.

Can a supercar beat a superbike? Can a Audi A1 outrun a Nissan GT-R on a wet circuit? Can a Porsche 911 slay a Corvette on the drag strip? Autocar pitches the giants of the performance car world against each other to deliver the all-important verdict.

I love the looks of this thing. Not too extravagant, not too vulgar and somehow not boring and sexless either.

MisterPinhead no they were suppose to produce them but couldn't because they didn't have enough money. It was a concept car in 2013.

    • MisterPinhead
MisterPinhead In reply to Domo Brah

It's a concept car, meaning it's a look at what they are planning on making next. There is also probably concerns for street legality too. You can also get a much more fuel efficient hyper car that has a V8 in it, and is way faster than about any car on the market. The Porsche 918 gets about 78 mpg city, and is estimated 92 mpg highway.

thumbs up if you agree that this will be made, as a regular hybrid with a conventionel engine recharging the four electric engines -not the twin diesel-fed micro gas turbines.
