Every attorney was right. People, if you buy land ask yourself this question: can I afford to throw this money into the wind tomorrow, walk away and laugh? If you can, I guess you don’t need an attorney because you have too much money. If the answer is “no” always get a survey, use a title company, buy title insurance and hire a lawyer who has more malpractice insurance than you’re spending. If you get ripped off by the seller, you sue those people and the seller. These poor folks relied on a bill of sale which is nothing more than Monopoly money to a pre-recorded lien. Pisses me off for them, but they never had a chance.

The us government did not want 3 auto giants Let alone a car that would last 100 years with no rust and easy engine replacements.I have a delorean and it is like new .Have a corvette engine in it now. I think they set him up .and this is some propaganda piece .American company's like apple and many others have shell companies in different countries to avoid paying any us tax.

I watched this right after watching a documentary about the Bricklin. the moral of the story is if you try to save your country's economy by building a gull wing car, you're going to end up fleecing the taxpayers and financing the high end lifestyle of someone who's probably full of $hit

Hang on... I've just fired this up...3 minutes into it... how the fuck can you buy land and property and your lawyer doesn't pick up that there is finance ie a mortgage outstanding on it !.. where were the due diligence checks, surely that poor guy should have sued his conveyancing firm for negligence, here in Scotland and the UK a title search is mandatory, this will flag up immediately who is the legal owner, in this case a mortgage company and not that Rat De Lorean..... is it different in the states than here in the UK ?...EDIT: I cringed at the glee on that guys face that went to NY to look at the car and "Mrs De Lorean" .. our government were truĺy fucked over, sending inadequates to oversee his business says it all.....

There was a documentary on the History Chanel about the automobile. It told the story about GM, Ford, and Chrysler from the beginning up into the 80's. In this documentary there is a scene where John is coming back to work after having plastic surgery and has words with his boss he quits and says, "Lets see who is going to do the work around here now." You can see the lengths they go to protect the lie about his leaving GM. This is the biggest problem I have with television and Hollywood. People see what they produce and then think it's true.

+Arthur Humphreys @Anthony OSullivan and yet there is a greater percentage of them on the road than anything else from the early 80s. I know of one car over 500,000 miles, and another with over 600,000. I also know someone who drives his more than 200 miles a day, 5 days a week. With the most basic maintenance they are very reliable-- and certainly more so than anything else from its time.

Arthur Humphreys , We are talking about 1980... American cars from that period are gas waisting poorly build pigs.
From that period not one American build car became a more populair Classic one as a DeLorean.

Today for Europe , American cars are to big for us.
Best celling cars are a lot smaller they fit our roads , city’s ,fuel economy and garages better.

Have y bin in Europe ? Visit European city’s on YouTube city trip you will understand it.
If prizes of gas at America go up to the level here you would not go American for one more day.

+touraneindanke Deloren put a car on the market that was poorly designed, are you saying American cars suck... then say it...they're actually better than you think. European cars are not good unless you pay big, Japanese cars have slipped big in quality also, it's not the 70s anymore.

They go out of business in a couple years and people keep throwing good money after bad into tesla. Except tesla was decades later and have the same type of qc problems Delorean had even with superior technology to help them. Besides all the invasive things they do such as disable major features without notice, many dealer only repairs and parts etc..
