So calling an Acura Japanese is like saying Holden from Australia an American car

All Acura’s are designed, engineered and assembled in the United States, except the rlx

Joshua Jacob the design might be American but the Engineering is still done in Japan most of Honda/Acura is engineered in Japan and many parts still come from there as well I work with Automotive suppliers so I see this everyday and just because it’s not sold there doesn’t mean it’s not Japanese did you know Lexus was never sold in Japan until 2005? Meanwhile we’ve had since the late 80s

f181234 true but who designed it? The us

      Were is it assembled?,the us

      Were is it engineered?,the us

And were was it tested?,the us

This thing isn’t even sold in japan so were is the Japanese charm?,only Japanese thing about Acura is the company that owns the darn thing Honda

Keep seeing acuras and thinking they're just fully loaded rav 4s. So bland and boring, and just I'm not paying premium for a reliable sleeper. I wanna pay for something that cool and comfortable

As Randy said about parts, I love this channel and I hope that you can talk a little bit about parts and maintenance, people buy cars and they have to buy the maintenance (if anything happens to the car for a long term). the review will be complete between cars as long as you talk about Parts and maintenance prices.

The RDX is amazing. Volvo will probably have a considerable cost of ownership over time. I’d love to see a special model RDX with a 3 liter turbo and a very good dual clutch or true 6 speed.

I loved all my Volvo’s but I think the new interior designs look like old man Buick. And how can you compare 2 cars that are speced and priced so differently??

Yet your opinion flipped in your vlog comparing the RDX to the Lexus. I'm researching, but this was not an apples to apples, for the RDX Advance trim-line packaged should have been used in a comparison against the Volvo.

Reliability wise with Volvo, you lease them whereas the Acura you could buy and keep a long time.

The volvo T6 Is not $5000 more if you include the massage seat, B&W sound system, adaptive suspension. It is more like $10000 more.

Ummm... weren't they comparing the RDX to the CX-5 ? ... Show's how good Mazda is being compared to Acura and Volvo.

Mark X In reply to Kailem Jones

the Engine is the CX-5 has a lot of low end torque but the power begins to die off at the top end, Acura's 2.0T has power all the way to the top of the rev range

Not sure about the comments about the drive train reliability, almost convinced me they are paid shills. Volvo's 2.0T T5/T6 has been around since late 2014 and it's proved. And the tranny, you it's the a Japanese Aisin you all like. The worst are some infotainment freeze etc but the 18 started a brand new head unit with new processor. And Honda isn't all that reliable lately, the 1.5T is notorious and got class action lawsuit. Just make sure you do your research on the vehicle you buy and make the right decision.

    • Mark X
Mark X In reply to Judson Zhao

keep in mind there are millions of 1.5T honda engine out there doing well, yes there are some defective ones that Honda has acknowledged 0.01% affected. Honda is a volume producers will again millions of more cars on the road than Volvo.
