He also probably spent right around $5,500 on gas considering miles driven, estimated MPG, and average gas prices over the years

Sorry, but "daily driving" for 14 years would have more than 31,000 miles. This thing was babied. My old Toyota 4Runner (2002) has 180,000 miles on it, and looks in excellant condition. Only thing that required $ (besides oil changes) was a plastic part of the heater needed to be repaired and two sets of tires. Also, one brake job. I plastic dipped the exterior trim. Turn heads all the time. I agree, it is NOT a supercar. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

dude, what was the cost per mile, that’s the real number. The fact that it only has 30k miles after 14 years means ya it “seems” cheap but it was hardly driven, your number dilutes the real cost as its stretched over 14 years for only 30k miles.

The definition of cost here is not including the time value of money. The $150k could have doubled or tripled in value over 15 years. The GT is good for an exotic but still expensive for a bank account. Old people know this but buy anyway because they understand the value of enjoying time above ground.

He paid list? Usually Ford dealers stick it to buyers for high demand cars.

If you take the total ownership cost and divide it by the miles driven then the logic falls apart.

it's a nice feeling when you buy a used car and ALL of the service records are there, even if they were done personally some sort of record for what was done is an enormous help for a lot of people.
