We don't have the three-row Tiguan Allspace in Australia yet, so there's no third row to try out on this SWB Tiguan.

Why no mention of dieselgate? Have these been detuned to reduce pollution? If not, they might be significantly less powerful after they are remapped to meet emissions standards in the future?

Sweet. I was wondering about that. I like the Tiguan but was worried about the resale value, as well as the pollution of course

Great review Tom. Nice to see a test of a fairly modest engine. Keep up the good work. :-)

I want to like the Tiguan but the inside is just so boring to look at design wise. It all works well but they need to add some pizazz!! By the way, great video as always 😃

It's very conservative inside isn't it!

Picked up a 110TSI Tiguan Comfortline with the Driver's pack, and am awaiting delivery. Hopefully in the next few weeks :) That boot size is what won it, though. The Kias and Mazdas were great cars, but we needed that boot space.

Thanks for that :) I've known some diesels to show that filter warning light if they don't get a good half-hour run. While I can do that run every now and then, I don't think i do it often enough. But cheers :)

If you do lots of short trips you made the right choice. Also if you are light footed, Eg Not always taking off like Schumacher at the lights, the petrol is the right choice. Diesels are best under load. (Longevity wise)

We looked at the diesel model too, but I worried about the number of short trips we do not heating up the particulate filter enough. But for those long trips away, the diesel would've been great.

Exciting – I'm sure you'll love it. The big boot is definitely a significant advantage.

Another quality review tom so keep up the great videos and what do you think of the Kia Sportage and Ford Escape? Because they're quite good little things as well
