When the chance came around to review the Ford Raptor, expectations were already high because of the hype train. But after a grounded real-world experience with the truck, things changed. We have reviewed most of the half-ton options like the Tundra, Silverado and driven the RAM off road and found modern trucks have become quite serious in terms of interior space and quality. All that means is the Raptor has some proving to do. This is not a casual short review, be prepared for a deep dive on the Raptor including pros and cons.

Another note of silliness. "Your are looking at the most anticipated...." and the truck is out of focus......but cool, you're focused. How clever.

And your suggestions for short people? Maybe you should have the experience to know when you might high center or rock slider positions. I have been out there, no one ever got caught by their rock sliders. On the contrary, virtually every vehicle's rock slides helped. No one has ever completely failed a vehicle as a result of rock sliders. So give me a break. But you did provide the best break down of the truck, but you still sound like nothing more than a salesman.

Ford should have atleast as an opinion a plain old 5.0. If it’s slower who cares. This truck does sound stupid

      Thanks for the video!

What the fk is with Ford fitting plastic coolant expansion tanks to their cars.. ? Fkn idiots. I just fitted a mishimoto metal tank to my Fiesta ST today because the fkn plastic ones keep breaking down and cracking and leaking .. I could have cooked my head gasket like 10 fkn times if I wasn't watching closely.. wankers !!!!

I don't understand why driveshafts are always rusty even on brand new vehicles...I always paint mine before fitting :)

Ford has been using this type of transfer case forever. With 2wd and 4 auto settings it's been in the expedition since 2003 and I believe they added it to various versions of the f150 in 2011 or 2012.
And GM has been using it on their trucks even longer. I believe ram got it in 2009

Ford builds this, but not cars. Does that say more about the stupidity of some consumers or the company?

Thing is, resale value on certain raptors is excellent. So... if its between a $40k fam hauler or an older one of these, do the math first.

They do hold their value. Just look at any standard f150 kbb nada type value- they subtract 1500+ for 3.3 and add 1500+ for 3.5L. The only engine where you can own the best one for less- assuming less than 5 year ownership.

As a raptor owner I am choosing to leave the running boards on. Cheaper to replace those than pay for body work when a rock punches a hole in the aluminum body. Either way if someone wanted to rock crawl they would get a wrangler, my baby loves the dirt and mud at high speed :)
