Just so you know, you're missing the skid plate that covers the front diff, and also the reason people prefer the early third gen bumper( the small lip) is because it has a better approach angle offroad. so when you go up to a steep ledge you're more likely to have the tires hit the obstacle and drive up, rather than just hitting the bumper into it. I built all tube bumpers for mine so i don't have to worry but yeah m8, nice vid

Need to swap to manual locking hubs off a Tacoma it’ll help save your axles to cause with the add system your axles are constantly spinning which causes more wear manual Hubs they’ll not move when unlocked

Don’t know if you’re ever gonna see this comment since I’m late to the show but what did you use to paint your hood? Mine is really oxidized and would look much better with a matte black finish.

3rd Gen 4Runner is one of, if not the best built vehicle of all time. I owned one for 12 years, no issues that I couldn't fix myself.

How long have you had those rear 906 springs? A shop told me they don’t compress much and are a good choice for rear springs, but if they sag like that after a year or 2 I’ll swap em out

I have them overloaded so I’m replacing them with 891 springs.

People go crazy over the roof top tents. I don’t get them at all. Seems like it would only be handy if it’s really rocky. But if it’s Ricky sleep in the vehicle. Same thing with the tents that fit the back of the truck. I just don’t get it.

Hi I live in New Zealand and have a similar vehicle, 1996 Hilux Surf SSG. Like some of the other comments I find it refreshing to see someone going about life 4wd without all the expensive add on equipment. Like you my rear suspension sagged I put in Firestone air bags and they work a treat. Thanks again.

Thanks for the tour. This is my style. I'm sick of the debt riddled grocery getters. I daily an fj cruiser with only purposeful mods paid out of pocket. No credit cards here. Although depending on the trail I'd say gas cans are a plus. I'm sure there is more mods to come and I like the minimal aspect. In a way it adds more character. You ever find and old truck or jeep that's been sitting that was owned by some old man that has passed and took a look at the early type of mods? Nothing is quiet pretty but it's all part of function. Keep it up fine sir and tell the kido's to keep it clean hahaha. No sticky stuff!

How many miles do you have on your truck? Have you needed to replace the head gasket? Any issues with the fuel injectors? I have a 96 T4R SR5 5 speed manual trans. with 244K that I've had for 13 years. Nice video.
