NEW FOR 2019
Redesigned from the ground up, with an expanded range of eight models and six engine/transmission choices — including off road-inspired Trail Boss models with a factory 2-inch lift
Larger in almost every dimension, including a wheelbase that is up to 3.9 inches (100 mm) longer and an overall length that is 1.6 inches (41 mm) longer, enabling more cargo volume and more interior room for all cab lengths
Up to 450 pounds (204 kg) lighter than the previous model, thanks to advanced manufacturing and the use of mixed materials, including a fully boxed steel frame that is 88 pounds (40 kg) lighter than its predecessor, while offering 10 percent greater torsional rigidity
All-new Durabed with best-in-class cargo volume, with the short-box offering 63 cubic feet of volume — up to 20 percent more than a competitor’s short box. Most of that volume was created by widening the maximum width of the bed floor nearly seven inches
Higher-strength steel floor: a roll-formed, high-strength steel bed floor featuring a higher-grade steel, with yield strength increased from 340 to 500 megapascals of pressure for optimal strength and mass
All-new, segment-exclusive power tailgate and bed-mounted 120-volt power outlet (available features)
Higher payloads and trailering ratings on most models, including a 14-percent (340 pounds) max payload increase for crew cab models
More and stronger tie-downs. Silverado now has 12 fixed tie-downs, and their strength has doubled to 500 pounds of force before bending
Enhanced front and rear suspensions incorporate new, lightweight components, including composite second-stage rear leaf springs on LT models
Six engine/transmission combinations:
4.3L V-6 with Active Fuel Management and a six-speed automatic
5.3L V-8 with Active Fuel Management and a six-speed automatic
New 2.7L turbo I-4 with Active Fuel Management and an eight-speed automatic
New 5.3L V-8 with new Dynamic Fuel Management and an eight-speed automatic
New 6.2L V-8 with new Dynamic Fuel Management and a 10-speed automatic
New 3.0L I-6 turbo-diesel and a 10-speed automatic (late availability)
Dynamic Fuel Management offered on new versions of the available 5.3L and 6.2L V-8 engine expands cylinder-deactivation capability with 17 cylinder activation combinations to optimize performance and efficiency in all driving conditions
Drive Mode Selector with driver-selectable modes for varying terrain
Available Autotrac automatic four-wheel drive system
Improved brake system featuring electro-hydraulic power assist, larger-diameter brake rotors and larger brake pads
Expanded roster of available active safety features, as well as new HD Rear Vision Camera, Rear Camera Mirror and HD Surround Vision
Next-generation Chevrolet Infotainment systems and connectivity*

I really like the exterior look of this truck. Only thing is the rough black plastic between the windows looks cheap, should be gloss black.

I own a Denali , Don't waste your money , I have had mine a few years ( basically the same Truck with a few minor changes) , 36,000 miles on it now .
Truck hasn't done any kinda of work , treated like a luxury vehicle . Front AWD Trans Axle blew out at just over 32,000 , Have 36,000 on it now and Dash Board also has now cracked , Stability Traction control has developed a problem , and even the Expensive Specialty Chromes Wheels are peeling off chunks of Chrome like cheap paint on a old house. GM calls this normal wear and tear and that its just COSMETIC , not sure how stability Traction control is cosmetic , but .... The Idiots offered me a voucher of a grand to buy another GM product ! I guess my 36,000 mile Industrialist grade vehicle is wore out and needs replaced already ? My repairs will run me between 4 and 5 grand , on a vehicle that has only 36,000 miles on it and that is not counting the front AWD front Axles previous cost .
Let me show you what you can expect from GM Customer Service , This is GM own Site , so facts are the facts ! @t Go to this link see for your self . They have 1100 complaints , with only " 3 " resolved , this is GM own site and they have given themselves a 1 STAR RATING . GM is offering 20 % off their vehicles why ? Because even thou they look nice and have allot of amenities , they are a waste of your money ! DRIVE WAY Ornament

you will be sorry with the ram. My work has them as fleet, and there is ALWAYS 1 or more that is in shop for something. Fuel pumps seem to be weak link.

Dear friends! Don't let the stories and beautiful pictures confuse you,
GM this is a dangerous company for all public, anyone who buys a new car
from GM, throws his money in the garbage bin, at the moment of
malfunctioning you are alone and may God help you, in this company there
is no customer service in general, and the management does not care,
you will regret your loss of money. Be careful from GM!!!👎👎👎👎👎👎😬👎😬

      What does Z71 stand for?

    • Grant V
Grant V In reply to Curtis Shaw

Its an off road package code that GM has been using for many years. Means it got the package with better suspension, skid plate, etc.i dont remember what else... I had a silverado with the z71 package in early 2000s. 95% of people who get these trucks will probably never take them off the road. Lol. I think its more about prestige than utility in most cases. See Z71 logo = they paid more for the truck.whether it was really needed or not. Its one more slightly better feature so most people want it. If they add a ZTX package that incorporates a toaster into the back seat people will want that too whether they use it or not. Lol
