The buried treasure is believed to be located approximately 12 to 18 miles east of Toledo, Ohio. Many years ago around the Revolutionary War, a British ship wrecked at or near Locust Point. This ship was carrying what would be worth millions and millions of today dollars. These Gold and Silver coins were buried on the Ohio side Lake Erie shores. As of today, the search of the Lost Treasure of Lake Erie continues.

Sorry Jennifer, I'm 67 yrs , raised in/on Long Point Bay. started scuba diving in 1968 I study Archeology..... there is no stone in Lake Erie West of Peacock Point. The " loot " buried out on the point.....Historically speaking....is NOT accessible by Fed Law, as it is a Fed Game Protected Area. Fines start at $ 2,000. for even beaching your boat there so the photo in question is simply a photo they used to embellish the story line pretty much. hope this helps ...... we must be vigilant in knowing the truth, to grasp the truth in the end
