Whatever happened to this? It's been almost 10 years. Oh and since then I've become very proficient at this stuff. I can now see the things they would change in the real thing to make it practical. I can also make it myself if offered.

Hahaha, Planned obsolescence, now Pre-obsolescence, Post-obsolescence An engineered system, high tech, that lays, compacts, hydraulically screeds and vibrates the asphalt, then the high tech system disposes of the empty pod onto the brand new roadway behind itself,  Don't worry be happy, the new Build out follow up system repairs the damaged roadway that the Pod disposal system and pod pick up systems damage. hahahahaha,  Massachusetts used to pave its roads, perfect work high quality, only to saw into them, some times just weeks later, dig up the pipes, etc.  They re-engineered the process, so as to have the pipes replaced before, Before, the resurfacing began,, frieking Genius!! Hence the name above, OBSOLESENCE, PRE-OBSOLESENCE, POST- OBSOLESENCE

One square yard of asphalt that is 1 inch thick weighs 110 pounds, so 36 inches thick is 3,960 pounds per cubic yard, which is nearly 2 tons. SO Im not the best at math, but im pretty sure those pods have to be hugh to hold 17 tons of asphalt? I could be wrong. Someone smarter do the math. Let us know

I drove my self bat shit crazy figuring, acre feet of water,  then converting a cubic foot of water into gallons,I visualized a 12x12x12 inch, cube,, and all the charts, engineering data state it holds, approx. 7.5 gallonsI said no way, my little one gallon plastic gas can, is very close to that measure, it holds one gallon, I refused to believe it, the entire weighs and measure system must be wrong, hahaha,  I still don't believe it,, my friend.43,560 sq. ft to an acre, covered in water one foot high, answer converts to cubic, = 43,560 cubic feet of water, one gallon multiplied by approx. 7.5 gallons per cubic foot. gives you gallons per acre. I need to have a perfect cube fabricated, hahahahaha,, with a filler hole in it, fill the stupid thing,  dump it into a measuring device to measure gallons.  think about my dilemma, reply back,, hope you got a laugh from it.

not getting the pods, how do u reuse the pods, and what kinda of trucks haul the pods or how do they get filled up. Seems good in theory but still looks like it has a lot to work on. Glad to see they are trying to make changes in the business though

+Growyourmind86 Probably have a similar conveyor system to pick up the pods either on a truck or on a trailer.

No not tons, but enough to keep the operation running in a continuous loop which involves (as he says) 'recycling' pods. and it is futuristic considering the fact that it runs on hydrogen and only needs one person to operate. If that's not futuristic, then what is?

thanks but no thanks. too much flaws. container marks on fresh asphalt, moving the containers, compacting the asphalt with roller and you cant apply paint to fresh asphalt before its compacted.. oh AND you still need the goddamn trucks for fuck sakes! this is pointless innovation -.-
