You can get the Acura RDX A-Spec (twice the quality and twice the resale) for what this cost.
GM has gotten crazy with their prices.

@Josh Brobud I get what you're saying, but there have been some real extreme comments on here. Again, I highly recommend driving one before crossing the new Blazer off your list. Just because it's a GM or just because it's made in Mexico doesn't mean it's junk. Every single person I've shown it to in person loves the styling, ride, and overall feel.

I didn't say it was a bad car, just that there's so much better out there for the money.

Just to make sure I'm tracking, The RDX has a 100% retail value in 3-5 years? Twice the quality might be a bit of an overstatement, I highly recommend you sit in and drive a Blazer before deciding :)

$29,000 dollars you can keep it. My 2001 LT Blazer drives and runs just as good as the new one. Secondly, it's made in Mexico whereas mine was made in America.

The problem with GM is, after KNOWINGLY installing faulty ignition switches for 6 YEARS AND BEGGING for a BAILOUT while doing so, how could anyone trust them?? Why would any American want to buy from a company that's already screwed them twice?? That's twice if you've been smart enough to never actually buy one! Do you really believe they wouldn't do it again? Why would anyone give a shithole company like gm their hard earned money?

Chevy is crazy for a starting price of $29,000. The new 2019 Toyota RAV4 starts at around $25,000 and comes with tons of standard safety and other features, unlike the Blazer. Even the top of the line Toyota CHR is cheaper than the base model blazer. The blazer still has cheap GM plastics and styling looks...confused?

@ELPJM09 Do you have selective reading or something. I said chevy equinox yes thats 23,800 American dollars. Forget the blazer since its not a direct comparison to the rav4 . Might as well go on a Range rover video and compare your rav4 for to one of those. Thats how dumb you look right now. Btw Im not a Chevy fan boy or anything. Ive owned 1 Chevy in my life. If your gonna compare cars have your facts straight.

The Chevy Blazer does not compete with the RAV 4 it doesn't even compete with Toyota at all since Toyota doesn't have a Midsize 2 row CUV.

The mirror looks different when U look at it, but with everything else, it's quite nice. PS, the light beige leather looks much nicer than this black.

Nice looking! Definitely going to be a hit based on the design alone!

I just wish it were either based on the Colorado/Canyon platform and offered as a genuine body-on-frame SUV, or the Alpha platform currently underpinning the Camaro and offered as a genuine sport CUV! As it is, it's kinda boring!

Cheap it is not at $53,000! The 3.6 V6 is the most produced engine in the entire GM Corporation. Every make uses it. It should be the best, smoothest & most reliable engine ever 😎.

Is this going to replace the Traverse? My concern "might" be that I buy a model that GM decides to discontinue. Who would have ever thought they'd drop the Volt after years of development???

The traverse is a 3 row suv. It just got a redesign. This is similar to what honda is doing with the Honda passport. It fits between the Equinox and the Traverse. Basically if you want a bigger car opposed to the equinox but dont need the 3rd row and extra size of the traverse.

KB Cars In reply to Chris Sucharda

Hi Chris, we have 3 on the ground here at Sunnyside Chevrolet and they are slowly starting to arrive across the country. The Blazer is only a couple inches bigger than the SRX. Front leg room is almost identical, rear leg room Blazer has about 3 inches more. The Blazer is also about 2 inches bigger on overall length, width, & height as well as wheelbase. Very similar in size and ride. Check out these comparison sites to get more specs:
