Gale Banks how we're cranking up the power in 2019. Look forward to watching us build a supercharged twin-turbo monster truck diesel engine, pushing a Duramax L5P to its absolute limit and opening the doors to tuners who want to learn how we do what we do.

If I didn't rebuild CFM56 jet engines, I'd love to work for Gale Banks. The man's the legendary "sane, mad scientist" of engine performance. Many build engines that can scream power and torque to the ground. Gale does it so that it will do it everyday. He has genius oosing out his pours.

Who says those who buy this "stuff" cannot afford it and why the hate for Banks? You appear to have strong opinions. Curious how they were formed.

I wish banks would build duramax intake manifolds that would work for a streetable truck. They already have the big hoss intake but good luck making it work with a typical turbo setup

Sorry Gale but as a retired real diesel mechanic I have never been impressed with GM and connected companies! ( Detroit diesels for example)
I have seen the metallurgist reports this company is noted for using poor quality metal in there castings!!!
      Cat,Cummins,Mack&Volvo far superior castings!!!

Hence why Detroit started out as gm diesel. They where created by gm from the very first year electromotive if I'm recalling correctly absorbed Cleveland diesel in a merger between 2 or 3 companies to make gm electromotive diesel division.

+Frederick Burns um no clevaland was the company before gm diesel and last I heard that was emds predecessor who gm bought or hired the talent from to create electromotive diesel Detroit has always been gm owned until the 90s

Frederick Burns funny I’m around lots of old two stroke diesels that will run when nothing else will. I’d take a cat or Detroit over any Cummins. 60 series Detroit’s will run forever. I’d rather have a Perkins than a Cummins. I’ve had experience with multiple Perkins engines going over 12000 hrs without an overhaul. I’m not an expert as you claim to be but I’m third generation in land clearing and site work my grandfather started the business in the 60s. Ive never seem a failure from any Detroit we’ve had. We’ve got tow 471 Detroit’s made in the 60s still doing work. We had an old kenworth with a 290 Cummins it leaked oil like a siv, it had good power. One issue Cummins has too is they put them in junk ass trucks dodges were garbage and Ram is carrying on the junk legacy.
