During the annual Chevrolet Performance Media Reception preceding the 2017 SEMA show, Chevrolet unveiled this Silverado Performance concept. This truck explores the performance capability of Chevy’s light-duty pickup with a concept supercharger system that figuratively and literally blows more life into its 5.3L V-8 engine. It’s based on the supercharger of the LT4 engine offered in the Corvette Z06 and Camaro ZL1. Check out ChevroletPerformance.com for all your project needs. Read more on TheBLOCK.com.

Just curious if this is lowered, has a leveling kit, or if the wheel/tire combo makes it look that way.

Gm after 2005 fell flat on its face. Proof you ask? Why does my 95 Chevy reg cab C1500 4.3 5spd keep up with the brand new Colorado? Makes no sense. Dear gm please proceed to unlodge your head from your ass and make good trucks again at a affordable price please! If not I see another bail out happening. Or folding up all together. 55,000 for a base model 1500? Anyone can bolt a supercharger to a 5.3 and get way more power than a extra hundred hp.

Drop the lt5 in it and build it. We now have a Ram TRX and and a GT500-based SC V8 Raptor coming. Don't get left behind in the horsepower wars. Build a 750hp Denali and Silverado RST.

Not only was this a waste of time for the viewers and GM fans, it was a waste of money for GM.
Now that the 2019 Silverado's have been revealed this can only mean that GM had no real intentions of mass producing this truck or any variant of it. Which irritates me because there are parts of this truck that I would like to have on my 2016 Silverado, like the hood, front bumper assembly, and the breaks.
This is the 2014 Cheyenne concept all over again. Get everyone's hopes up on a cool concept just to walk away from it. Might as well go to a rock concert just to have the lead singer say "I know you guys wanted hear songs from our new album but instead we're just going to play the same note over and over and over again."

They should build the Cheyenne concept over this being it would be more sport or performance and looks great with a standard cab short bed layout.

I’m a GM guy my whole life. But I paid 80k for a jeep SRT because GM doesn’t offer ish for performance in that category. They need to have the balls to do it big like FCA. GM is missing a whole demographic in the performance truck/suv category. They come out with the performance Tahoe and now this truck which are both half assed.
