      Shouldn't that be 39 mpg overall? 8:47

Some other things to consider: outdoor temp/humidity, condition of road, elevation, driver type(ie. heavy metaler or soft pedaler or environmental extremist). In order to come up with an accurate mpg rating, multiple tests of different temps/humidity, road conditions, elevation, and driver type need to be done; however, the 40 mpg seems about right for a mid-sized hybrid and manufacturers hi-way specs are usually fudged up.

Thanks again Chad- so between the Honda and the Toyota in this category - which would you buy with your money?

I can't judge what others should drive. For example my favorite truck is the old compact Dodge Dakota with V-8, 4x4, and double cab--a nice light truck with gobs of power. Wish they still made it. But I could never suggest you buy one, as the quality of these is crap, and they fall apart after 50k miles. It doesn't really matter whether you go with Honda or Toyota---they are both tops in reliability and quality as well as Lexus. A Honda civic or toyota corolla will run forever. Same with Camry & Accord. Other than that it is all about looks.

Yeah me too, but between the other 2 - what would your choice be?
You've never shied away from giving us your opinion before and are the only independent guy out here- a non purchased opinion is quite meaningful.

7:48 How much were those tires? They could sell them to all the grousers from last week complaining the Jetta didn't come with a spare tire. :)

Plenty of spare wheels and tires at the junkyard for about $30.

Can't get past the front end styling on most Toyota's. Looked at a new low to the ground  Camry 6 months ago, getting in and out is a back breaker for older people. I ended up with a all new for 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4 SEL model.  Luv everything about it ,comfort, styling, room, and technology with a 10 year 100,000 drive Trane warranty plus 33 mpg. Hope you can test one soon, enjoy all your videos.

The gas powered camry does 39-41 mpg on the highway too. I personally think hybrid doesnt make a difference on the highway

+chad haire I like your reviews. It's real life reviews. You tell what you like and hate about each and every car. By far one of my favorite youtube reviewers

reddy: internet hybrid owners lie about their fuel economy all the time--that is why I do real tests..to get the truth...I have a lot more hybrid car tests on youtube....click and watch. Also the Toyota YARIS did about as well--for only $18,000!

The V-6 does about 34. But no hybrids only work in city driving, not much on highway.
