There's a love & hate relationship with me and this Civic. I'm sure we can work it out being that today is Valentine's Day. There will be a lot of compromises, but I'm sure the Civic will change for the better to enjoy a long term relationship with me. Here are my 5 main reasons that the Civic Sucks!

      bolt pattern an issue? Swap hubs and bearings...ez pz. just pull an integra hub assembly. If it doesn't fit, get adapter ring or have them cut to fit.

      In my opinion, the cx manual rack has a better feel than any of the other PS racks. I have a personal grinta 330mm steering wheel in my EK though. I feel that my steering wheel setup helps a bit with response compared to the stock wheel. TBH I hope that the quaife 2.83ltl rack and pinion gear set fits up to my rack (non-power EK). They only seem to make them for non-power eg and ef racks.

      Bro this and the Eg was the best 1. Drop a kseries in there call it a day. 300hp all motor is fun. 4×100 bolt pattern has the fastest fwd cars. Speedfactory went 7sec in quarter mile over 200mph. Get a Nrg steering wheel. You kind of bass the Honda Civic right now but give props to the GTR come on don't do that😔😔😔😔😔

      Do a d16y8 head that will put you at around 125 hp. And give you a nice vtec crossover get a five speed from a d16z6 and you will love it best bang for buck and with a mild cam you plus lightweight flywheel it can hang with any b series with no problem

      to be fair, you've only stated the obvious. most people don't buy the 92-00 civic to keep them stock. they buy with intentions of modifying them. and do things like 5 lug conversion,auto to manual,engine swaps, interior upgrades,etc etc. some people even change the color...(shrugs shoulders)

      The EM1 civic si would of been a better purchase if you wanted something a bit more sporty right out of the box in that generation civic. With that said a integra ps steeringbox/pinion on a civic ps rack and you get that steering response you want. The ej/ek platform is a great blank slate for modification. The Usdm market didn't get a ek4 sir sedan( basically a em1 si sedan) so I'm building my own lol. I love Honda interchangability!

      5 lug cars are heavy, bulky and doesn't look symmetrical. Nobody likes removing that extra nut, it's time consuming and annoying *AF* !

      I still daily a 98 Civic HX / CVT that I bought new. The old boy turns 21 on April 7, 2019.
      For the first 10-15 years, I loved the car, because it started every time, got me through college, and easily averaged 40+MPG on the highway. In the last 5 years I've been treating it like a rolling restoration, overhauling various systems with OEM parts—and that's when I really fell in LOVE with this car, and Honda's engineering, design, and evolution of their Civic platform. From the inside out, these cars are incredibly well made, and a bargain on the used market.

      Consider preserving that hatch as-is—especially while you still have access to a lot of OEM parts in the Honda parts stream.
      There's lots of roached out Civics that are ripe for restoring and additional mods.

      As for me, my Civic will stay 99% OEM Honda, and still be slow as f*ck, and I'm totally cool with that. To each their own, I guess.

      The plastic radiator end tanks
      roll up/down windows
      crappy sound system
      dumbo mirrors
      cardboard rear trunk floor
      dinky spare
      chrome headlights
      weak drivers side engine mount
      no aux port
      no abs
      no tachometer
      Among others lol
      All easily fixed tho

      2.Miata,Kei-car or any JDM wheels have a lot of option for 4x100 bolt pattern. Another option is get 5x114 bolt pattern from a Civic Type R's wheel hub that came with disc brake.
      3.Power steering delete is the best answer, mine got power steering and its kinda responsive imo
      5.Agree tho, although my 96 Civic EK got D15B Vtec motor from 95 Civic EG and its not a great engine since been abused by previous owner

      More reasons why the car sucks:
      -Cluster has no tachometer
      -No front and rear anti-roll bars
      -No rear disc brakes
      -Restrictive intake and exhaust systems

      Probably more but cant think of any at the moment.

      Theres of course the EK3 VTi with the D15B VTEC and EK4 SiR with the B16A VTEC and the US version gets the bare minimum CX and DX EK hatchbacks 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

      Ive seen this old white guy at the track out in bay area. he has a 94 civic coupe with a b18 ebay turbo auto. runs low 12s street slicks. pretty cool in my opinion. Talked to him about why he went auto and he said he commutes from San Jose to SF daily so it make sense because of traffic. Not bad for a 12 second street car just to mess around in.

      Soooo the car sucks because the seats are made for everybody? Here is the solution to your problems.. Don't swap out anything and buy a different car.. You've suggested swapping out the seats.. The engine, the steering rack and the transmission... With all those swaps you are better off getting a different car!!
