Despite claims to the contrary, the CT5 is very much a "tweener" sedan, and that's OK with me. The ATS was too small, so was the CTS in many ways but the CT5 on teh other hand solves all that with 5-Series sizing and a price tag expected to be more 3 than 5. Toss in handling dynamics that are likely to be among the best in the segment and the new CT5 should be a solid competitor. If you're looking for a roomy cabin, there's a Caddy for that.

Cadillac you lost your way and it's time to come back to the way you use to be and stop trying to be a Mercedes or BMW, it's not working for you. Also Cadillac, you need to stop trying to get the Mercedes and BMW buyers, if you haven't captured that market of buyers by now, it's not going to happen. Cadillac, go back to being a Luxury Car again like you were in the 50,s - 90's, and go back to naming your cars and stop using letters and numbers. Would be nice to see Cadillac build bigger luxurious cars again.

It's a chicafied Cadillac that appears to be targeting women in their late 30's and up. I think it'll do well.

I saw this car at the NYC Automobile Show... Not crazy about the styling from the B-Pillar to the back. C-Pillar is rather UGLY! Rear deck is real short, looks like the trunk is small (but we'll see when the specs are released). Cadillac stylists have missed the boat again. They need a Coupe, as in a 2 door, not a 4-door Coupe, regardless what the stats say, build a freakin' Coupe.

This car is within a half inch of the 5 series. In what sense does the person that did this report think the CT5 is a 'tweener'? The fact is that it's not a tweener. People should stop promoting this bit of misinformation. CT6 is a direct competitor to the 5 series BMW and E class Benz. Pricing will likely be similar as well.

What happens when you get rear ended by a truck or suv at high speed in that thing? Did anyone see the distance from the bumper to the rear wheels / back seat?

Most "German" cars sold in America are built here. BMW is made in South Carolina. Mercedes is in Alabama, VW-Audi is in Tennessee.

Nice car in a tough class segment. On a different note I believe the "2.0 liter 4 cylinder turbo engine in any car will will be standard in the future, sort of like power windows or power door locks where optional features way back when (am I telling my age?). Nice post Alex keep up the good reviews. 😁
