4/0 welding cable
B2 audio M15R Raven amp
Recommend using higher end zipties that stretch before they break when you attempt to over tighten them.
the brittle ones that the heads break on will not work

That's a great tip, thank you for sharing! However, I would not normally say that there would be a benefit to using a larger wire than the amp's terminals are rated for. Power cables are obviously extremely important, but my thought is if you buy a quality amp, it would have large enough terminals to accommodate the necessary wiring. However, if you have 4/0 cable laying around that you want to use or you just want to use larger wire, this is a great tip! Just don't feel like you need to buy the largest wire that money can buy and struggle to cram it into terminals that it was never designed to fit into, because there is no benefit.

+KING@SPL Thank you for the response! I didn't realize that this was a 15KW amp LOL. Here is a tip- This is a really good voltage drop calculator that will tell you very close to what the actual voltage drop will be with different wiring setups.-https://www.calculator.net/voltage-drop-calculator.html

Thanks for the support and positive feedback! To be honest you can never have too many leads going into the amp. The manufacturer makes a 16 lead + and 16 lead - adapter that plugs into the amp

LOL to bad thats not 4/0 gauge wire, the amp has 0 gauge power and grounds x's 4. That wire just fits the terminal, its 0 gauge at most. who ever told you that 4/0 gauge seen you coming. Im running true 0 gauge on my amp, my amps terminals are 0 gauge x's2 power and grounds and my wire just fits. Get true 4/0 gauge wire and you wont get it to fit to save your life less you use a reducer.

Where are videos of your build oh thats right you dont have any. gtfoh dude no pro uses this shit you have in the video no real pro that is. everything ive got is whats used in professional builds minus my box. king spl my ass ill blow that amp away. I got super flex welding cable which has more strand count and it works great and is less cheaper than audio wire. Itโ€™s not tinned copper and itโ€™s regulated to awg standard. My wire has the same style jacket as car audio wire not the harder black jacket. Look around guys there are good alternatives but to each his own. Great video. Going to try your technique next install.

4/0 awg welding wire Is the Size of 2/0 sky high oversized and knu koncepts.
I used 2/0 welding now, but my main run from front to rear is 1/0 sky high and there the same size wire. the jacket is about the same also, sky high jacket might be a tad bigger, but the welding wire jacket is more durable for sure.. I'll use 2/0 welding from now on tho, the copper looks just as good for a better price. I have noticed welding wire has gotten more expensive though, they raise shipping to make up for it.. lol

Those terminals are bigger than 1/0 , no way in hell true 4/0 would fit into a true 1/0 without trimming back 30 to 40 % of the wire , but it still a nice tip

    • KING@SPL
KING@SPL In reply to charlie francis

charlie francis ya i agree but audio cable isint regulated on size or regulated at all ya get what the company sells you. So most the time audio cable is larger than standard wire sizes

John Smith yes the 1/0 welding cable should be a tad smaller than ur amp terminal, just do a big 3 upgrade with the 1/0 as well and ur grounds, also add a secondary battery if you dont already have one.

What about when you take the wire out to relocate the amp or to change amps? I'd just spend the money for 4/0 - 1/0 inputs if your going to spend the money on that amp. B2 for the win by the way.

Never had this issue lol just hold it correctly and insert it from one side to the other guiding it in with fingers... also use real car audio wire so it fits correctly lol ppl who use welding wire for car audio smdh and just an FYI car audio wire is a lot bigger than that welding wire by a lot so your 4/0 is the same size as say sky high 1/0 so .....
