With a title like "the best-selling vehicle in the world" the Ford F-150, making changes to it can seem like a daunting task for engineers. Thankfully, Ford knows what truck buyers want and the latest 2018 model represents the perfect blend of capability, refinement, luxury, technology, and fuel-efficiency. There is a reason nearly a million American take a new truck home every year.

That chime when you open the door is plain annoying. I would disable that 2 mns after I buy the truck. Otherwise, excellent truck and great review

If I wasnt towing much I'd go with the ford. I tow so I'm going either ram or tundra. That ford is just too light.

They sold 909,000 F150's in 2018 which is a hell of a lot compared to the competition.

Ford is getting hit from every angle these days. First they're being sued for 8 billion for stilling technology. Second being investigated like vw for lying about mpg. Third they're being investigated for pay load numbers. Fourth all there transmissions are being recalled. Bad day to be in a F series..

How about reliability? So far it's really nice but it's not fun if you have to drive the rental all day.

Man I hate to consider myself a fan boy of any brand but growing up with my dads hand me down 01’ 7.3 diesel and reaching 420,000 miles before moving on to a 2012 f 150 putting 220,000 miles on it that kind of reliability from manufacturer makes it extremely hard to go looking anywhere else.

The 5.0 v8 gets better mpg than the 2.7 EcoBoost due to the amount of time the 2.7 spends at high rpm. Honestly you dont even gain much by going to the 3.5 v6.

Side note, ram still my favorite

BTW, the Ram passed the Chevy Silverado in sales last year and is the #2 vehicle in America. I don't see that changing anytime soon.....

I have a 2016 f150 5.0 with 373 gears. It's a nice truck but I've learned to get where I want to go I'm always putting my foot into it more than I really want to so I've been eyeing up the EcoBoost trucks and wondering what it would be like to have the 3.5tt or 2.7tt under the hood

I want the F150 just for that 5.0 V8 and it’s somewhat efficient because it’s light and it has the 10 speed auto
