i think ford is lying to us when they say the 3.5 is faster than the v8. my truck is stock and kills this take off by a huge amount.
      its a 2019 fx4 with rancho upgrades.
the digital reader is skipping numbers when i punch it, and it roars liek a real raptor is under my hood.
... why is no one on youtube showcasing my truck?? lol

You guys failed to show how good the 5 star tune is when towing.... where are the drivability comments? Passing power and acceleration improvements while towing? This just shows us how flawed your ike gauntlet test really is

Im pretty sure your not supposed to drag race in 4 high.. I don't think they design the transfer cases to handle that kind of speed

Not like it's new news that a tune gives straight up power gains. Manufactures always dial things back to maintain fuel economy and try to preserve the integrity of the mechanical bits.

I'm glad you guys got great results on your tuner from 5 star tuning. I got tunes from them for my 04 f250, the performance is nothing. The towing tune helped trans shift points. The economy tune is a joke!!!! I lost mpg on the "economy" tune.

2018 f150 2.7Ls are limited to 101 Mph -_- its ridiculous and annoying what if im being chased down the road by a psycho with a gun.. his dads 67' station wagon could drag me down eventually .. Tune allows you more safety and peace of mind knowing a 4 banger Honda Civic cant chase u down lmfao.
(Granted obviously i would take action and not flee, still what if a tornado is barreling down the road. Your dead)

fish sticks It’s essentially AWD for highway driving. Not the same as 4WD for low speed off roading. I believe it has a Torsen Center differential, or the like. Google it for more info.

I bought a SCT Tuner for my 2010 from 5 star tuning got a few different tunes and all it did was make my trans make a ton of noise . I now have a 2018 5.0 and I’m hesitating to waste another $500 on a useless tuner

Why did your 3.5 run a 15.08 when '16 2.7 ran a 14.0 and my '18 2.7 ran a 13.89? Both bone stock. The 18 had 150miles on it. Both ran at Orlando.

Its a huge scam the software just changes your fuel air mixer nothing more speed limiter can not be removed its set at 115mph you never gone that fast hahah its a advertisement for the software , do people really believe the is a software to give you 100hp if it was true ford will done it in the factory,
      >> Any changes you do to the ECU will Void your warranty << The only way to disable a speedlimter is to have a unlocked ECU programmed,,, Or cut your speed wire so the ECU can not get a reading and you speedometer will not work that is the only way your can disable the speed limiter on the ecu it will read 0 even even you doing 100mph

Federal Law allows for you to modify your vehicle etc...and not void the warranty. Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act, allows for you to add after market and modifications to your vehicle. and unless the manufacture can prove that those mods are directly responsible for the damage to your vehicle it will not void the warranty. As the video states 5 star tuning keeps all ford factory safety measures in place, thus does not void the warranty. I actually purchased my SCT BDX for my 2018 F150 from my ford dealership who installed all my aftermarket mods also. Now your ford warranty does not cover the aftermarket mods, it only covers what was originally on the ford invoice, but aftermarket mods have their own warranty. But in the USA you can mod your vehicle, just like you can open those void if removed warranty seals(which are a violation of the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act), and you can do your own service on your vehicle, computer, cellphone etc...or you can take it to a third party to do the service, ie the local service station, jiffy lube, valvoline, fleet farm or whomever you want to do your general maintenance, just keep records of the maintenance, or receipts for the oil you purchased at walmart, or autozone etc...

      @katy donawether....

You CLEARLY are showing your ignorance here!  I personally have this tune and can attest to the performance increase.  ALSO, these companies have dyno’d these tunes so the gains are indeed REAL!  But, you seem to know everything! lol

katy donawether and finally it’s not a change to your ecu, because it’s not Permian they! no programmers I know of void a warranty

Doug Bauer In reply to katy donawether

katy donawether about no part of anything you said is true, I’ll start off by saying the reason they don’t from the factory is for emissions, and insurance purposes there is ALWAYS room for improvement, no company is gonna send out the craziest version of there vehicle out of the box. And as far as fuel air mixture is not all it changes, in newer vehicles it adjusts timing, and boost pressures, and transmission shift points and line pressure. Long story short tuners can totally eliminate the speed limiter! I’ve been a passenger in an eco post f150 @ 130 mph. Please do your research before leaving stupid assumptions

So what about before and after mpg? And you need to factor in the much higher costs of buying 91 octane constantly on top of the tune software. Vehicle emissions test before and after would be prudent, also.
