Everyone is raving so much about that viewfinder... Well, it was the first thing that disappointed me! The glass in front of the panel is crappy, as with most (not all) Panasonic cameras. The edges are blurred and you have to put your eye precisely in the middle to see the image clearly. The G85 evf glass is much better.

Hey! Your videos are awesome man, thank you for the great reviews. Sub'd. What would you choose for a Vlogging camera, the G9 or the A6400? I have a 12-35 F2.8 lens from my G85 salvaged from when I dropped it so I can't decide which to choose as both have great options. Any advice would help.. thank you!

Wherever you use "really", it reminds me of this quote.
"So avoid using the word ‘very’ because it’s lazy. A man is not very tired, he is exhausted. Don’t use very sad, use morose. Language was invented for one reason, boys - to woo women - and, in that endeavor, laziness will not do. It also won’t do in your essays."

Hi, thanks for this video! I'm planning to shoot a small documentary with two Panasonic cameras, the G9 and the LX100. Do you have any suggestion on how to match the two cameras? I would especially like to ask you if you recommend to record in Mp4 or AVCHD? My goal is to achieve the best professional and cinematic quality and give the editor some solid material to work with. Thanks so much for your help!

"no other camera with this burst rate in micro four thirds" ???? the em1 mark ii does an insane 60fps and 20fps with continuous-autofocus. I agree this is a great camera but in that context it doesn't even come close.

      MohantyJams In reply to MohantyJams

@abe lincoln haha.. The proud 20fps continuous from the crappiest autofocus system out there with the worst hit rate. Keep dreaming man. I think fujifilm xt2 has more number of shots in focus with 10fps continuous than g9. Lol. Get your gear right.

The Olympus doesnt do 60fps with AFC, its fixed focus. And the G9 does that too in its SH2 mode. And the EM1.2 only does 18fps with AFC, the G9 does 20.

      Get yur info straight nube.

I'm using it since 5 months now for photography and filming. Great. I love the sucker.
And the longer I use it, the more I love it.
Second one is a GX85. Smaller and more handy to carry it with you on a daily basis.

I know the reasonable thing for me to do is get the GX9 because I'm a very casual photographer and it's much lighter, but I want the G9 so much. I know it's pure feature lust, but I can't help myself.

I don't like the big LUMIX babe on the front I wish they would just use a big version of the gold L found on most their other cameras, it would make people inquisitive about what brand it is and they would be drawn to talking about it.

      Panasonic Lumix G9
      Question?
"is There a video record Time Limit of 29.99 min on Usa version G9? like there is on all the eu // uk Pal versions always have???
      Thank you in advance"
      John h
      Answers to your question

Yes, there is a 30Min Video Recording Limit on HD Video, & 10min Limit On 4K Video
Do to due to sensor heating in poor design of reducing heatsink mass?
thus If Video is your focus then the GH5 is a much better choice for just additional $285.00 more
