Matt runs Latigo Canyon, one of SoCal's most technical roads, in a 2007 Audi RS4 sedan. The RS4 was one of the coolest sport sedans of the 2000's, and Matt's actually never tested a stock one, so a one take is key!

Why did they put the timing chains on the back of the engine? Do you have to pull the engine if you need to change one?

Great review, nice driving in the canyons was loving watching you drive. I have a 2005.5 B7 S4. Beautiful vehicles. In my opinion the best all-around cars. 👍🤟🏼Go Quattro....:)

The stupid thing about the seats is most of the ones in Europe had the recaro bucket seats which are epic! But we couldn’t order those here. Also didn’t get the cool flat bottom wheel

I had this car when I was 19. let me tell you it is the most special car to drive in the canyons. It does have a bit of understeer but that makes you a better driver by having to go slower into the corners and learning how to control the car.

My favourite thing about this car is that exhaust note. Close your eyes and you’d swear you were hearing an American muscle car.
Then you open your eyes... it’s like an optical illusion. That sound should not be coming out of a car which looks like *that* haha.
      It’s witchcraft 🤘

Some can be had for $20k now. It's very tempting. I don't care if it's not the fastest, I don't need to be racing punks on the streets, I just want the sound, the manual, and the exclusivity. One of the last real cars.

They have a LOT of torque but Audi decided to limit the throttle to 50% under 5,500rpm in the first three gears and GOD it's annoying! As soon as I get around to gutting my precats I'll get a JHM tune and fix that. Also sucks that the sport mode only sounds great until the damned computer reverts it from 1100rpm to over 3000rpm in the first three gears - you have to pull the vacuum lines off the muffler cans and plug them. Then they sound like Gods mating in thick cloud ALL the time :) Thanks for the video, love it and love my B7 RS4 avant, considering the limitations of a 4WD V8 (ie. the entire engine is in front of the front hubs!) it drives superbly eh :) Cheers!

What you said is true, and the dashboard is never getting old. I had an s-line Avant same color, very beautiful car for the time, I had it ears ago, by 2010 it was 4 years old, and the dash was so modern for the time, Most interesting part, without the navigation(could be still possible to order) this same dash was there on the A4 B6, which is a 2002 year model. This means that a 2002 year model Audi dash is more modern than a Japanese 2010.

I see you didnt complain about the springy shifter on this audi. You still have to push down for reverse in these too.

Peter Ohsnap That’s something owners have to improve (or rectify if they break a linkage joint) by buying the JHM Delrin shifter bushing and heim jointed cross rod.
