The attachment at 5:38 looks like staggered positioned eyes that turns into a single row when it's operating. :) satisfying video nonetheless.

How do these cutting tools not heat up and melt?

If you're doing it right, the heat is going into the chips and not into the tools

Cool stuff. I love a demo in realtime, not sped up and actually cutting steel. As little as I know about it, it looked like a lot of those huge cuts were the perfect speed and feed rate judging by the straw to blue color.

It's amazing that these companies make so much money from tool sales that they don't even mind that you blatantly ripped promo videos from yeeeeeearrss ago for your own personal gain. I've got a Kyocera Magic drill you can choke on over here

"blatantly ripped promo videos" - dude, the best thing that can happen to ANY companies promotion material is to be shared and distributed ... why the fuck would anyone spending money on marketing want to hinder/slow/stop their promotional material reaching as many eyes as possible? the whole point of marketing spend is to reach more people.

For HPC ( High performance cutting) you use air to clear chips and cool the tool .
Coolant would turn to vapor when reaching the cutting zone, creating a vapor-barrier around the tool that would hinder cooling, also what @NeonStorm5 said : some tools are sensitive to abrupt temperature changes, especially on their surfaces, and could possibly explode into tiny fragments .
One thing that has come up recently though is frosted tools ..imagine that, man :)

I think some ceramic inserts are designed for super high temperature cutting, and using coolant can make them crack and break.
