So the second mod is window tint. As simple as this is , it makes a big difference .
I take the car to Kool Kote and see our friend Tran for some awesome service again. He's done my cars for the last 18 years.

Beautiful color, I never would have thought of orange, but you nailed it. I "built" my NSX in blue on the Acura website. Interesting that you would compare the third electric motor to the Insight, but at the very end I see that you have one. I had a '91 NSX for 20 years and I had a 2001 Insight as well. Both built in the same factory, both all aluminum, both from completely different ends of the car spectrum. I loved both of mine.

Putting a coat of wax is not a mod ......…take 200lbs of the curb weight and add 200 more hp. That is modding

I like the fact that your mods are nice and subtle. They add to the car rather than raise a eye brow. Very much appreciated sir. You have won a subscription.

I love the NSX, both 1st gen and 2nd gen. This car is really good. You have to truly drive it to appreciate it. It's a comfortable ride, great handling and it looks really good in person. If you haven't driven this car and you get a chance to do so, you will be glad you did! Great video, John!

If they advertise 600+ and people dyno it at less, it would look silly. Advertising 573 is the right thing to do imo.

Do you use a normal awd dyno to see if it's 573 vs 619 hp?

Not a mod suggestion, but you might really scrutinize the torque vectoring. That's something that received criticism because they are supposedly actually braking the inside brakes instead of actually using torque vectoring like an Audi. How does it actually work and how well does that method actually perform (which is ultimately what it's all about)?

The orange looks sharp. Tints are nice. 1979 would have been perfect for me if I could afford one cause that's the year I was born. Lol. Nice NSX!!!

Are there any weight savings mods you can do for this car? Or is it actually really light weight stock with all the hybrid technology? Everyone says how heavy it is, but for a hybrid isnt it actually lightweight being less than 4k lbs?

18:44 I see a circular line in the brake rotor. Is that caused by the brake pads? Also, is that an iron rotor?

Tou Vang In reply to Tou Vang

+LHTPerformance That is good to know about the iron rotors. the $10k ceramic brake setup is a bit absurd.

    • LHTPerformance
LHTPerformance In reply to Tou Vang

Tou Vang Yes, Iron rotors. Much cheaper to replace after many track days. This ring is the slight contact from the pads. Not broken in yet.
