Surprise, surprise (or no surprise at all), the new Toyota RAV4 has more than a few cool features going on.

The new-gen model will hit Australia in the second quarter of 2019, with a 127kW/203Nm 2.0-litre petrol engine and a more powerful 152kW/243Nm 2.5-litre petrol-electric hybrid version.

What do you think of the new model? Get more details at the link below!

That's Recreational "Activity" Vehicle not "Active". I purchased the TRAIL model last month. Love it! Love the new look/design - That's what sold me :) The drive/handling is very nice/smooth. Engine is noisy on acceleration. Same engine and transmission as Camry so not worried about its reliability.

It should be called 7 ugly things... although there are at least 70!
Somehow Toyota manage to create one of the worst looking cars and then made it uglier with every new generation! :(

Convert Kilowatts to horsepower and you get 207hp. The outgoing hybrid model had 197hp. It'll be interesting to see the "hp" numbers for the gasoline only engine since historically, the hybrid gets better MPG AND more horsepower than the gasoline versions. Obviously, the weight difference will be the deciding factor between the outgoing and the new models. If these new models are heavier (which I believe they are) then that will erase any small gains in fuel economy.

there are more toyota haters in caradvise comment section than anywhere else on the net... and their reasons are all so stupid.... "toyota's aren't reliable, they have recalls" all car brands have recalls... and at least toyota actually admits their mistakes and decide to fix it unlike audi where their R8 are prone to having crack front structures and they charge their customers thousands to get it fixed.... "no apple car play and android auto? Shit car" it's like saying pagani, koenigsegg, noble etc are shit because it doesn't have android auto or apple car play... are you all high?

I wish they would rely on high school students for their future vehicle design. There's no way they could do worse. This thing looks like a cross between a dump truck and a corolla!

I feel really sad for Subaru Forester. They had such a good chance to really bring something new and exciting(at least interesting), but they totally screwed their chance with the new 2019 model. This RAV-4 on the other hand, is like a dream come true. Smaller outside, bigger inside, new engine, so many options to choose from and for the 1st time ever, an equally solid all wheel off road version as Forester. In short, 2019 is going to be the year Subaru will start going the Saab way.

No way can I agree with you. Have you driven or seen the 2019 Forester in person. A award winner, with a huge order bank and beats this rav any day
