Engines don't run on cold air they run on hot air the engines have to maintain a temperature to run good air restriction all way make the engine suck more fuel the filter is only to prevent garvich to go in the engine but manufacturers of filters make filters that get clogged real easy so they can sale more hot air makes the combustion more efficient help the fuel to be come a vapor before combustion which is the real fuel not liquid gasoline that is why if you live in a cold area your engine have a hard time start gasoline contain hydrogen and nitrogen neither any of those elements do well in cold temperatures below 4Β°C, the hydrogen bonds between water molecules become stronger and cause the matter to expand. .Hydrogen molecules violently react with hot oxygen when the existing molecular bonds break and new bonds are formed between oxygen and hydrogen atoms. As the products of the reaction are at a lower energy level than the reactants, the result is an explosive release of energy and the production of water so more heat more energy hot clean air more mileage from your fuel great video

Ive changed my mufflers and installed a K&n filter,
      My car flys now,
And today i spoke to my mechanic about modifying the hose from the filter box to the throttle body,
So there is no restriction to the air,
      He said its possible,
But i need to buy the parts and he will assemble everything.
But seeing what you have done to your lincoln,
That gave me an idea earlier today,
Ive thought of opening a hole right in front of the bumper above the fog light...
And you couldnt see the hole !
      My only concern is...
      Rain water entering the intake....
But your idea is really good... but im afraid its too much !!!!

For the confused people .. the basics this guy is trying to tell u is that a car needs to breathe and breathe out ... But car manufacturers put filters that minimize the amount of air that gos into the engine....his vid is just trying to show you how you can make a car breathe more easily

I remember taking my grandpa's old 76 Ford F-100 302, granny 4 speed and taking the old small inch and a half exhaust off of it and had a muffler shop put true duals, from the manifolds 3 inch exhaust with flowmaster 40 series. Put a 3 inch x 14 inch K&N round air cleaner on it, 500 cfm Holley 2 bbl carb and it woke that thing up a lot. Truck went from running low 17's to high 14's just doing that. Even though fuel consumption went from 10 mpg to 6 mpg. Grandpa had never seen that truck run like that and told me it wouldn't run 85 maybe 90 mph. Well uncorked it ran 114 and was banging on the redline. Amazing what you can do, especially to the old 70's and 80's cars that were choked back so much to reduce emissions and gain fuel mileage.
