Here's Why the Land Rover Defender Costs So Much in the USA
The "North American Specification" (NAS) Land Rover Defender is worth a lot more in North America than foreign imported Defender models. Today I'm explaining why the NAS Defender is so much more valuable than Defender models from overseas.

I think you just need to leave California and all your liberalism socialism and communism Tendencies will go away. I've got I did send her I paid $3,800 for and it is salt as a f****** rock but I live in the United States not tell a f****** fornia
A cool Land Rover defender
blablablabla, hablas demasiado
You should legally change your name to Doug deFender
Question: Why does it cost so much here? Answer: Because it’s stupid?
weather pmsl .... its not a defender unless its covered in mud
I’ve Borrowed this defender from a viewer here in the san diego area, his name is Doug and he has an youtube channel called Doug Demuro Where he Shows Quirks and features of cars
LMAO this is literally Derek Zoolander's car. The movie was making fun of spoiled white people who buy this type of work vehicle and use it as a fashion statement, like black people and work boots.
What a douche personal license plate.
For sale in India.. Only one ever imported to India
Just sent you a great find 93 Defender 5 SPD 2.5 TDI let me know what you think
Stop saying accents
My son sold mine for me for $8000, i was only expecting $4-5 grand for it so i gave the guy $500 back, he was well pleased and i was ecstatic at getting $7500. Should have shipped it to california and increased the price ten fold. By the way Landrovers are built for farmers and armies not posers. My next Defender will be the Lego 42110 model, looks really cool.
you can get a defender for 14000$ in Bangladesh
i paid $8000 for mine :)
£10k? Where?
Hello @Doug, what if I bee living for the past years in Spain and being a US Citizen and coming back to the states I want to bring my 2014 defender with me..? I'm not importing it... i'm coming back to my country and bringing my belongings including my Defender that is not 25 years old... thanks in advance for your comments...!
Why do people hate Californians?
Oh... I see.It's a shitty car

This narrative doesn’t wast any word and keeps me wanting to hear more about it. That was very intuitive!awesome
Let's just clear a few things up.
- Defenders were designed to be used on farms.
- Its manual or nothing... Having an automatic defender doesn't count.
- There are hundreds of automatic defenders for sale in the UK.
- You massively over paid for your defender, that doesn't make it worth more, just makes you an idiot.
- There are lots of defenders that are both soft and hard top available in the UK.
- The 4C engine has been more than capable for years, not sure what Americas obsession is with bigger engines... Just means more weight, for as even you said, only slight more power.
- Ultimately your defender is only worth more because fewer of them are available, not because its actually better.CARB is the worst thing ever
The base on my NEW 1994 D90 back in 1994 was about 32,000 and once you added the runners, roll cage, fiberglass top, back leather seat, etc. it was about 50,000 and THAT was in 1994. Using the inflation calculator that's 86,558.03. So don't feel so bad.
Too long to get to the point
With the newer Defender coming in 2020, people who want a classic Defender in the United States will have to still spend a heck of a lot of money - that money is better spent on the newer generation Defender. Of course, it is still a debate as whether the classic Defender is better than the newer generation Defender.
This guy is hard to listen to. I got through 10 minutes before I had to stop! I wish I still had my 95 D90. Bought it brand new for 32K plus tax & license in Pasadena, Ca. Had it for about a year, then sold it to another LR dealer for 32K. I wish I was older and wiser when I had it, because I would still have it. Quality control was garbage when it was shipped over (cracked roll bar covers, rusty spare tire mount, speedo stopped working after 2K miles) but it was never anything that would leave me stranded.
Since TATA discontinued the 90/110 brand your $63,000 investment will soon exceed $100,000. I am in the U.K. and will never part with my 110.
