2015 Indian Scout Review

America. One word, one country, and a whole lot of awesome. The new 2015 Indian Scout pulls from the longest lineage of American motorcycle craftsmanship that there is, and takes it to the next level. Indian motorcycles were here before any other American motorcycle company and from day one they have carved out a well-earned place at the top-tier of open-road cruiser style, comfort, functionality, and performance. With the introduction of the Indian Scout, America’s oldest motorcycle manufacturer tapped into an entirely new market that has previously been dominated by a short list of competitors. In doing so, they have provided a marquee option for riders who are in search of a timeless, sophisticated, and absolutely premium USA freedom mobile.

+JOE KNIGHT: It's easy to ride, but if you're apprehensive, it may be better as a second bike. -DrewZilla

+Adam Szymanski I'm 6'2 also and I found myself wanting to sit further back on the seat than where you're supposed to sit. But I found the scout bobber more comfortable and most likely my next bike.

In my opinion, it's fine as a commuter. I'd recommend you go schedule a test ride on one to get a better idea of how it might work for you. -DrewZilla

Not to correct you but they arent the oldest. Maybe the first but they went out of business so many times and for long periods

Since Indian released the Scout, I can't believe people are still paying dealership prices for Sportsters: the most lethargic 60hp ever put in a motorcycle.

Great review. I am thinking of getting a Scout and your review never changed my mind on that it just let me know what might need some upgrading and if and why the changes were made on a used bike if I go that route .Like I said great review.

      Head light is too small
and it doesn’t look proportional to the rest of the body. It looks like an afterthought !

There's no plan to do so at this point, but that could change. Expect a review of the new FTR1200 though. -DrewZilla

Why the inflection with your voice? It’s a bike review, not a weather forecast. Chill.

… so aside from a few minor tweaks we seem to have an AMERICAN MADE / KICK ASS / BEAUTIFUL / AFFORDABLE MOTORCYCLE. That's good enough for me.

      Hi +RezVilla,
Thank you for your helpful review. I must say you are the best at this!
I had a question, do you know if Indian has addressed any of the concerns you mentioned in this video?

We have not been able to test an updated version, so we don't know if they've addressed the concerns. -DrewZilla

I've seen numerous Scout reviews (I still lust after this gorgeous bike), and none have been quite this informative. Thank you, Lemmy.

have had a '15 scout since 02/18, and have put 10,000 miles on it. The only bitch you have that I agree with is the low pressure warning. Every thing else you whined about I have not noticed. The only real bitch I have about the bike is the 3 gallon gas tank could be 0.5 to 1 gallon larger.
