If on the other hand you are looking for the best handling and most fun large luxury sedan in America, then this Cadillac is for you. Next year should being a new twin turbo V8 which will likely also make the CT6 one of the best performance buys as well. Until then how does it stack up with the BMW, Mercedes and other competition? Thank you for doing this review. I like to think of the Caddie as the largest of the wonderful mid-sized luxury cars; based on spending the same kind of money, the CT6 easily won me over. The twin-turbo V-6 motor pulls well (dual overhead cams, 4 valves, variable timing and direct injection no less), plus the driving dynamics are on point. All the other stuff make it a joy to live with during hard commutes through Hampton Roads/Tidewater Virginia. The real wood is beautiful thing to behold that the leather is awesome to smell and touch. I traded up from my loaded Camaro SS to get better all weather driving (AWD versus rear only) and I love the way both types of cars handle. The Caddie is very engaging and communicative in road feel but super quiet, dampens harshness and vibration superbly, and has massive trunk room compared to most of the other cars I've owned. The biggest thrill is for my back seat buddies. The back rubs, ventilation, and adjustability make for an outstanding experience. By far though, my favorite feature of the car is the 34 speaker Bose audio system. It is exceedingly phenomenal. Rock on...

One of the most detailed reviews on the CT6, looks like an all around decent car. 2018 will bring a V8 engine. Cadillac is getting their act together! 👍

Haven’t even considered purchasing an American car for years because of quality issues. Don’t know what it is but I love this car. I hope they fix the cue system, if so I’m sold.

Interesting - Car & Driver get a completely different result for cargo space - 6 bags for the CT6 vs only 3(!!) for the 7-series, and they say it's due to the better *shape* of the CT6 trunk. However, they used 22" bags - not 24" like you did. By the way, I can't find any review of the 7-series where you demonstrate cargo capacity with 24" bags - do you have a link?

Do the 7-series reclining seats eat into trunk space? If so, are they an option, or is it standard?

This thing is awesome! I would wait for an AWD option though. I would still take this car vs the Germans any day of the week though. Why? Cost of ownership. The cost of ownership for this Cadillac is far lower than the Germans. That and it actually works. The Germans would spend more time in the shop than on the road.

Lexus is awesome and all but I still have yet to see a Lexus sedan better than what they put out 15 years ago though. 5 seconds to 60? For a car that big? That is a LET DOWN for some people?

Well the ATS and CTS are both rear-wheel drive sedans, while the XTS is the only front wheel drive sedan in their lineup similar to that of the Continental which is a rebatch Taurus front wheel drive

Darrell May I can agree with you bro..!! Who wants a gas guzzler drinking luxury car..? People are forgetting Cadillac's are made for cruising not for 🏁 racing..!! If customers want speed buy a motorcycle or corvette stingray or dodge charger

7:45 - Jesus... look at the disjoint lines on the door between the wood trim, control panel and door panel. American car makers are still long way to go.

Cadillac's pricing structure is ridiculous.  They price their cars with Mercedes and BMW but then they don't sell and they sit on the lot until they discount the hell out of them.  They should emulate genesis and start with a lower price.

Potential customers interested in the CT6 need to know that concern has been raised on the potential crash worthiness significance of this vehicle, as Cadillac has been to the present point in time, completely resistant to submitting a vehicle to both the IIHS and NHTSA after almost 2 years of production......Before considering the vehicle and placing yourself and your family members behind the wheel, take the time to further consider this scenario.......
