The full Drive & Sound with facelifted 2014 BMW F11 530d Touring as the all-wheel-drive "xDrive" model. The revised 3.0 R6 diesel delivers 258hp and 560Nm of torque, always through the smooth and quick shifting 8-speed automatic transmission (unfortunately not the "Sport-Automatic"). This particular car features the new and customizable dashboard that only is one large LCD screen that can display the three different visuals "Eco Pro", "Comfort" and "Sport". I actually found this screen very helpful as it has a sharp resolution, more functionality for drive modes and media, as well as a well integrated navigation, which almost makes the head-up display obsolete. The 3.0 Diesel has a very good punch and the 8-speed always is awesome but I was honestly expecting a bit more performance, especially at high speeds. Still the adaptive drive suspension is very flexible probably making the 5-series the most comfortable car of its class. What I found very pleasant is the noise the engine makes, it seems as BMW has improved the in-Cab sound for the Facelift and made it sound into the direction of the M550d, great!       After 19 months with a 535d sedan: This car isn't mean to impress with sheer power or speed. It alters your perception of speed. That's a quote from sbdy else, but the perfect description. My old 330xd always "did the best it could possibly do" performance wise to keep you on track or to press you into the seat. (it was tuned up to ~260HP and like 250kg lighter) But driving in that 5 series is like flying in a cloud. You can drive fast and most likely accelerate faster than most of the others around you, but thats not what it's made for. When you drive @100km/h+ and still can listen to the calm intros of your favourite music tracks, then you know, that your decision was right.

      Is the weight really that different? The V60 came with AWD. By the way, I`ve spoken to the dealer in KL - the V60 had the 230PS-Polestar-Upgrade. But I still expected the BMW to be the quicker car. Interesting.

      Well, its probably 150 kg heavier the 530xd. Interesting regarding the Polestar Upgrade....I thought it just had the 215 hp stock setup, at least at the time that I tested it. Then I have to change my video description;)

      Ist das Layout des Tachos und Drehzahlmessers auch unabhängig vom Fahrmodus einstellbar? D.h. kann ich im Sport-Modus auch das normale Tacho-Layout einstellen, oder ist das fest gekoppelt? Diese roten "Sport"-Instrumente passen so garnicht zu so einem Auto.

      Also;-) Einen frei definierbaren "Individal" Modus wie bei Audi, wo man alles frei zusammenwürfeln kann gibt es nicht. Allerdings kann man den "Eco Pro" Modus und den "Sport" Modus individualisieren. Das bedeutet, ich kann trotz Sport Instrumente die normalen Motoreinstellung fahren, allerdings ist dann das Fahrwerk straff. Im "Comfort" Modus kann ich natürlich das Getriebe auf "S" stellen und habe dann den sportlichen Motor mit "normalen" Instrumenten. Also man muss nicht zwangsläufig die roten Anzeigen haben.
