The #HyundaiElantra has always been a competent entry in the compact sedan segment. The current one has been around since 2016 so #Hyundai has given the #Elantra a pretty substantial exterior design tweak for 2019. A polarizing front end highlights these changes but on the #ElantraSport trim, a 201 HP turbo engine and 6-speed manual transmission continue to make it one of the more enticing options if you want a sporty economy car that feels more expensive than its price would suggest.

The best performance for the dollar in any car in its class, looks very nice and literally hugs the road. Spacious interior for its size, nice electronics, and it really hugs the road (in case you missed it the first time). The MPGs are great, it shifts very smoothly in the manual, and its automatic dimming of your bright high beams when an oncoming car approaches and then resuming your high beams as it passes is really too cool. Plus all the other safety features combined with a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty, I am truly impressed - this is the $mart car to buy. Were I in the car buying mode, this would be the car I would buy. And least I forget, it is very affordable; not too many cars are so affordable. Again, bang for your buck!

Actually this car doesn't compete with the GLI or the Si. It competes with the civic sport and the Sentra SR turbo. This car is so much better people choose to stack it up against the Si even though in Canada you can get the 2019 Elantra sport manual for 25 k.....or a.7 speed dual clutch for 26500. The civic Si starts at 30 k.

2018 model look the best to me I don't understand if sales were so good why they had to change it and if they did change it why did they just give it a different name also it troubles me that Hyundai wants to sell their safety as an option every safety option they have should be standard and not an option at all and I do mean all of it including Lane keep assist pedestrian stop backup cameras front sensors and back sensors along with heated seats and heated mirrors AC self tinting windows should all be standard it may sound extreme but if just one of these things Saves a Life isn't it worth it even if you have to raise the price of your bass models

I bought my wife a 2015 Limited, Love the body of that car. She does too, however were not a fan of this new re design. I’m thinking of a Veloster R- Spec for me this year.

This design definitely grew on me. It looks really nice and every time I see one out on the road, I think wow, that’s a really nice car. Other compact cars like the Chevy Cruze, Mazda 3 and Dodge Dart..Not so much. Lol

I own a 17 sport. Great car and probably best all around in the segment especially if you take price into account. This new refresh is so ugly that I wouldn’t buy another one until they put this new look where it belongs (In the trash).

It's a shame what they did to the 2019 sport... tacky headlights, tacky wheels, just generally cheaper looking... and it was on my short list, when I was mistakenly researching the 2018 sport while assuming the 2019 would remain mostly unchanged. Would love to see what type of a-holes they had on the focus groups for the new design changes... heh

I just got mine a week ago and love it. Definitely looks better in person, the manual transmission is a must have. Also the millage is still great, I been averaging about 30 mpg and have even had it at 33 mpg and I live in a very hilly/mountain area. No big city traffic though so that helps.
