Since the RDX first went on sale back in 2006, Acura has sold over 375,000 models. That makes this model the most successful compact luxury crossover. Past RDX models are not as competitive with its German rivals in terms of styling and performance. New for the 2019 model year is the redesigned third generation RDX. Prices range from $37,300 for the Base trim up to $47,400 for the Advanced Package AWD trim.

The RDX incorporates fresh styling from the larger MDX sibling and the TLX sedan that includes a black diamond pentagon grille, LED Jewel Eye headlights, and 20-inch rims. Under the hood is a turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy is 21 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. The interior is a perfect blend between sporty and luxury.

Dynamically the RDX has a tough task since it must compete with crossovers like the BMW X3. The steering is responsive with great feel. The power is generous. Once the turbo spools up the RDX is really fun.

This is quite possibly the ugliest redesign of previously beautiful car I've ever seen....it looks like the retarded offspring of a Ford Escape and Nissan Pathfinder. The previous RDX design was sleek, elegant and unique...this monstrosity looks like it was designed in North Korea by communists.

Typical American junk will be in the shop after 50K miles. That turbo is going to crap out. Acura needs to bring back the ZDX as a subcompact hatchback/crossover at a reasonable price with improved fuel economy.

I've got a 2010 Advanced MDX and still amazed how it handles at speed for the weight. In sport mode it handles very flat in the turns. Honda can make a car handle even at 4500 lbs and high center of gravity. No torque with my 3.7 but hp is decent. Almost turning the clock to 268k miles. Some batteries, one halfshaft and a driveshaft but in all a low maintenance SUV.
I'm 6 foot and comfortable at all times. I'd hate to get rid of it but the Red on Red ASPEC is my colors and is damm hot.
My only problem is towing cap. I have a Red boat.

+Jose Aguilar I'm not that tall but you shouldnt have any issues with leg room. The new RDX wheel base is longer than previous versions and size is comparable to original MDX. I'd definitely recommend a test drive to see if leg room works out for you.

"The brakes too, while a bit spongey in the pedal feel, certainly brings the vehicle to a stop without much drama at all." That's what brakes are supposed to do, so why even mention it? That's like saying, "The roof, while a bit low for my head, certainly keeps the sun and wind out of the car."

Well he's mentioning it because some roofs will let wind and sun in.

Damn turbo charged. That's the reason why I'm not getting it. Honda is already failing badly with the turbo charged engines on their new civic with bad oil dilution issues.
