This is the SUV for someone who needs bigger, larger and more of everything. In a world where many SUVs and CUVs continue to pretend they are trucks the Expedition truly is and shares many of the good things about the Ford F150. There are other choices like the Lexus LX570, Chevy Suburban and now Kia Telluride the Expedition has a long history of high usage.

      Not a very good review...
Little mention that this is the only large SUV with a comfortable 3rd row that can seat a normal person, not just midgets. The Max version is actually a bit shorter than the Suburban, its closest competitor, while the regular models are approximately 3" longer than a Tahoe.
The interior is not as bad as that of a Toyota Sequoia, which is horrific and plasticky. Get the Platinum, and it is actually quite refined.
The ride is nearly identical to that of a Navigator, it's the same Independent Suspension, yet the Expedition has load-leveling and more ground clearance.
Removing electronic stability on a 480 lb/ft torque motor on slush or wet pavement will make any vehicle fishtail. That's a Darwin-Awards worthy statement.
The price ranges are actually sensible, considering this is a hot segment. Only the Platinum will reach the $80k mark, while a decently-optioned XLT with Driver-Assist, Towing Pkg and Cargo Pkg is just under-$60k. It also comes standard with far more features than the aforementioned Sequoia.
Lastly, the decibels inside the cabin are actually quite low on paved roads, compared to that of GM counterparts.

Lastly.... lose the hat while driving...

Not the first time I say it, but Ford really need to fire the interior design team. It's been so long and their interior still looks like cheap crap.

What idiot would rather have an ecoboost than a Chevy V8 in their SUV? moms, that’s who

was at th e Toronto Home show this year and Ford's section was the most disappointing. This car was HUGE inside. Like I could raise a family in it. But I find the interior to be very boring. Also....the new EcoSport......I promise if you test will fall asleep. And its back seats are a punishment to sit on.

Just goes to show you that there are a lot of wealthy folks in this country. Appears $80k is a bargain compared to the Cadillacs.
