$51,000 would put a nice down payment on a rental property that would make me 500-600 per month, not to mention any equity I may receive in the process......I guess I will just keep driving my 20 year old pick-ups.....I have two still running....

$51k and it doesn't have push button start. A freaking Civic has push button start. Push button start is not some rare luxury item anymore.

It's weird that trucks are lagging behind, Hell GM just added push button start STANDARD for 2019 Model year trucks.

$51k and you get engines that eat oil, have piston slap, and make crunching noises at low speeds (it's all true read up on it). If you're like me, you'll get mismatched doors that don't meet flush, paint flaws, and rattles. DO NOT BUY one of these trucks without knowing what kind of issues there are with them. IMO, it's not worth $25k for vehicles with these kinds of issues. I am going to keep mine for 2 years and sell if before the warranty is up. I'll never buy another Ford truck again.

@k9feces I just bit the bullet and bought a 2019 xlt 4x4 301a package. Got them down to 28,4 and it’s 30,9 out the door. Essentially 14k off the sticker. I got a rate of 4.99 through Wells Fargo with a score of 714 with 0 down. They gave me every rebate available even ones I didn’t technically qualify for minus one for 750 since I didn’t finance through ford. I don’t think I was gonna get out of there for 25 even if I had brought cash. (My bank was offering me a rate of 5.25 for the money, but then the price wouldn’t include tax). But hey, if you got it, try it. Worst they can say is no. But there’s deals out there.

If you have a good credit score above 740(Prime) you should finance through a bank and get a decent APR, also they often offer 0% APR for 60 months.

You can get a basic Toyota Tundra which is more reliable for 35k on the base price and even the base price has some nice options. And at some dealerships you can get em as cheap as 29k And The Toyota Tundra is 100% made in America with American parts unlike fords to where a lot of their parts are still being made in Mexico.

DeLo Enterprises In reply to nopi98

It's in reference to the current truck market, 51K BEFORE rebates and incentives is just above the truck market average cost of 49K in 2018, This truck on the dealer website has a sale price of 33,137.

True, used trucks generally will save money HOWEVER you don't know how the vehicle was treated or how it was driven(heavy redline towing ect) there is a peace of mind when buying something new and IMO its worth not investing in a used vehicle that will nickel and dime you until it would have been worth it to buy new.....
