This was filmed in 1996 and looking at the streets of Tokyo I’m amazed of how futuristic it looks compared to here in Britain in 2019

Wow! The government give a damn about the inconvenience to drivers. In the UK you can drive for many miles on the weekends or night time and not see any one working. They couldn’t give a rats behind how half a million people suffer. You can just do one in the UK. Councils make big money out of prolonging roadworks to maximise speeding fines. In the UK motorists are good sport for councils police and the government. Big medicine in it .

In Romania they just tow your car. You have no ideea where it is, you have to guess, and it drives you mad. Was it stolen? Am I insane? Did I not park here? Do I even have a car?

"but you say" Clarksman narrates as the camera slowly pans away from a Japanese hotties booty. This dude knew what he was doing back then and he never once felt shame.

Funny enough, this clip, from a older series, has a better picture quality than newer top gear clips posted from the official bbc channel.

@Eduardo Avila hopefully hell i was reading a guys comment just last night about the CGI in movies he was one of the artists who did the CGI and he said the movie companies have increased our workload so there is more and more of a demand for CGI in movies compared to 20yrs ago movies would have 400 frames or whatever i can't quite remember but the number has increased to 2000 or more today meaning more work and less time to produce a finished product and in todays movie industry its all about "good enough" which is just sad

Eduardo Avila In reply to Eduardo Avila

@James Quinn Yeah, exactly! Seems that none of those movies had any effort anymore.

Lets hope that the industry gets saturated and people stop watching movies (or paying for them) and then perhaps the producers will catch on.

@Eduardo Avila you can never beat the classic Predator what annoys me about movies today is... They can do so much better I mean if they put in the effort that they did with the older movies how good looking and amazing would movies be today? To me the movie companies just want to shoot themselves in the foot i mean special effects artists are now doing more and more CGI and they don't have the time to make it look polished and lightened the way older movies did when they had a base for an animated character like Gollum from LOTR he looked so lifelike because Gollum was animated off an actor who acted as the foundation for Gollum now today Gollum would be made with CGI and the lighting and stuff they try to add in doesn't quite match up

@James Quinn Yeah bbc archiving is amateur at best. Doctor who is a witness.

About movie quality, not only the image, but also stories of the movies got worse. Predator was abismal for example, but the classic one was great.

That causes the BBC don't care lol but I do have to agree with you I think cameras and special effects in movies are getting worse take Jurassic Park, for example, it came out in 93 over a quarter of a century ago and everything still by todays standards look AMAZING compared to the dinos of Jurassic world and fallen kingdom take planet of the apes for example with Mark Wahlberg the special effects in that were so realistic compared to today and those monkey and ape faces are all make up not CGI and the facial expressions of the apes were real as well
