smart shopping people dont want to waste time at checkouts? thats nonsense a lot of people like the chat with the person on the till - for a lot of people its a much needed bit of social interaction.... also one guy said its coming to UK high streets ...good luck with that since all the high street shops have closed down or are coffee/charity/second hand shops.....

I'm a pretty optimistic person regarding the future that will come out of technological progress, but I also feel that despite all the arguments 80% of the world's population is headed for unemployment.

Haha I like how that guy corrected the idiot host at the end. Obviously that host doesn't understand retail and how ya we can't keep people let alone hire them. They just don't want to do the tasks required to get the job done. I'm tired of all the bad help of slow lazy unreliable new hires that will just quit in a couple weeks. Get me a robust robot that will help me finish the work so I can go home on time not have to stay 10 hours 6 days a week. It's so maddening. Im what you call low level worker. I stock shelves at night. Get me help. Thanks.

World pop would decrease quite nicely if not for importing hundreds of millions of people from countrys that have high birthrates in a good environment .Sure would be good for the planet if we had less people . Seems it is Politicians and big corps that need more people for vote´s and as slaves . Technology is the only thing that can save our planet . In 200 years the world will either be trashy or a sort of eden .

Using Robots etc should be illegal in most cases! It's taking jobs away from people....
A local warehouse near where i live got rid of 300 staff as they got a new system that uses robots.
