Why does everyone go to the rear of the cars after many of these accidents? Is there a fuel shutoff or something back there?

All the people in the comments saying those weren’t bad crashes. Never been in a wreck. That last camaro took a HARD ass hit. He was hurt. No doubt

Wouldn't it make sense for there to be a very strong protective net instead of just one cement Barrier?

A bunch more examples of why you shouldn’t stay in the throttle if your car is acting squirrely or gets out of shape. Tens of thousands of dollars of damage trying to salvage a race you were not gonna win anyway. I understand competitive spirit but dang! Live to race another day.

On a side note, is there such a thing as insurance on a competition drag car? I have taken my street car to the strip a few times and my insurance specifically states it’s not covered for competitive events. I’m sure the premium would be astronomical but does anyone have insurance for the track?

AS A FORMER TRACK MANAGER- I made our rescue trucks, ambulances station at the top end, chances are thats where the accidents wind up anyway, even taking 15 seconds to arrive at some of these accidents is to long.

If I’m ever in a terrible, high-speed crash, I hope a crowd of hillbilly guys in shorts and flip flops come running to the wreck. It seems like that’s the solution.

Budget built guardrails aren't the best idea for a track.

Its funny, many racers drive their cars to a win, but Force wrecks his cars over and through the finish.....

**Where were the safety crews for the wreck at **5:15**??** Most of the time, drag racing safety crews are fantastic when it comes to their 'reaction times'. The NHRA Safety Safari are almost always second to no one when it comes to quickly reaching a wrecked car.

But the the safety crews at the 5:15 crash were non existent it seemed. I only see 1 guy, and he's on foot! Apparently they need to hire more safety people AND provide them with better transportation than just shoe leather!
