The biggest part that upsells the 10 speed to me is the fact that it is 100% true manual mode. When you are in 1st gear manual mode it will bounce of the rev limiter until you shift it (eventually if you abuse it sure it will shift). And when you shift gears it is instant shift changes. I have driven both of the new camaro's and am a die hard manual only, but the 10 speed is magical. If you hold gears when you want it can behave like a manual, but without the leg strain and when you want to shift at WOT it will rip through gears faster than I can push the clutch in. Also, if you push the pedal all the way down while driving you will activate performance shift control which holds your revs above 3-4000 rpm until you let off the accelerator for 30 or so seconds. It's odd to get used to, but is phenomenal to use when you want it.

Chevy interior matches the exterior better, more modern. Having had a Mustang, Chevy is better in overall quality, hence the price is higher.

did someone put the paddle shifters part the front end, and GM should of put a longer louver (hood vent). Designers coild of used a l.e.d. outlined for the taillights (blackout) with sequential turn signal instead of two bumps each looks like a older malibu with 4 taillights...not needs more than a refresh but a refit

God if you convert the $50KUSD to CAD for this 2SS which is $67KCAD X .13% HST= $75710.00CAD before dealer fees out the door! My base 2016 GT alone was $47KCAD!

Mustang has looks the same for the past few years. Camaro has a noticably different fascia and imo more futuristic look. They are both great cars nonetheless.

Good review. I think the 10 speed works much better in the Mustang. Because of the Mustang's higher RPMs the 10 speed helps keep the RPMs within the sweet spot in the Mustang. The Camaro has more torque, so the 10 speed does not offer as much of an advantage.

ZL1 are 60-65k here which is equivalent to 85-92k AUD. That's some significant price hike.

When the 2019 ZL1 lands here in late 2019... it’s been priced at $159k AuD

Loibz that's about $70k in USD so yeah that's pricey. 2SS here run from 40k - 55k USD.

I swapped a 2014 gt500 for one of these in 1le form, i traded in a scatpack challenger 6m for the 2014 gt500 with 7k miles and then felt guilty putting miles on the car. So paying over $700 a month and finding myself trying not to drive the car i missed the ability to get in and drive around without guilt... on paper i hated the refresh, but then saw a black ss 1le in the flesh and was like crap thats nice..... well i got mine in 6speed manual and yes its ALOT slower than the gt500 and i miss the stupid hard acceleration... but in person it looks fucking sweet in 1 le form

Camaros are FUGLY. That being said, I did rent one from Turo, and it was a lot of fun. Too bad the interior is just shit. They need to step it up with the soft touch materials inside.

Apparentky you have never looked up 2018 camaro tick. They have the same issue. Just not any famous youtubers that own them. The tick is normal. Has been since 2011 when the 5.0 was first put in. Lots of them on the market over 150k miles. I have FOUR 18 Mustangs in my immediate family. No issues. The piston slap is from idiots changing their oil to a lighter synthetic, and is also normal. Yes. It is. Just like the TSB for 6.7 powerstroke, the tick is normal. No engines have blown from tick. At all. If you change to a lighter oil with a composite oil pan, makes your engine louder. Challenger tick, ZL1 tick, Hellcat tick. They all have it. Check out CJsponyparts on Mustang tick and it will explain it better. Now that Camaro has gone direct injection as well, I bet we see quite a few more tick videos this year.
