whistling and humming and acting all cocky for a kiddy test and then 3:50 fucking up doesn't help your case brother.

ITS THAT EASY DAMN I’m getting myself a motorcycle in a year or 2 so you need to do a drivers test if you pass the 50 question drivers test you get a permit then when you get your drivers license then you can do a test for a motorcycle pass get a permit get your own bike then do the bike test?

So you can't fail a motorcycle test in the US.. that explains everything.

I remember when I went to take the test in Virginia the guy asked me if I rode the bike there. I said yes. He said "you pass". He did the paper work and I was out of there in minutes.

I took my Honda Trials bike for my DMV test, and passed it on the back wheel, never dabbed a toe,and didn't follow ANY instructions at all. The test admin decided I had followed every need shown and was safe.

As a rider for 60+ years,I can honestly sat the test they are giving has no relevance in real world operation, and was probably designed by a millennial fresh out of college , that has never thrown a leg over a bike, due to fear.

I took my test in Massachusetts in February. It was windy and freezing out (no snow but plenty cold) The guy giving the test was like "go that way and turnaround without putting your foot down" I did fine, got back to him and he was like "your good, let's go in and get license and get out of the cold." LOL his hands were just getting the feeling back when he handed me my stuff. he should have had gloves and a better jacket.

In Europe we have more rigorous tests than this before we can go on a carnival ride.

+reinplat Eh I feel like if that number is true it's heavily skewed. We do not have public transportation here unless you live in a big city hell hole. We drive freaking every where so of course will have more deaths. Life is dangerous enough without the government taxing me to death with more laws and tests. Happy you like it over the pond but I like it here.

+ctackett51 What you do with your life within the confines of your property is your business, of course, but whenever you use a motorized vehicle in public, you are a hazard to others (a helpful hint: the USA has THREE TIMES the number of road deaths per head of the population than Germany).

Which is fine by me. I don't like the government telling me what I can and cannot do. I went to an MSF course after this for proper training. The responsibility for your life while riding is in your own hands over here.

This is mental, you would've failed in the UK instantly with your first U-Turn for not doing a life saver.

+asdasd it just means Learner, in the UK we have to display a L on the bike to show we haven't passed our full test yet and to let other drivers know

That's why you guys drive cars the size of roller skates and we drive 700 horsepower. Factory cars without paying $12 a gallon. And 30 to 40% income tax on an income of 50,000 a year

Is that ALL you have to do to get a bike license in the states? - fuck me!. The UK test is two part - and WAY more difficult than that.

I live in SC. I bought my first bike on December 28th 2017, took delivery January 4th, and took my test a couple days later and passed in 15 minutes. It is way too easy. There wasn't even a road test(and I really wasn't that good at riding on the road). It's even easier in real life than it looks in videos

Austin A yeah I’m over a certain age hahahahaha I have my moped DL but since it’s somehow a “motorcycle I was told by the dealer I needed one or to get one the dmv may differently it’s just so odd get one for a moped it only goes 50mph maybe 55mph too speed.

Austin A In reply to Austin A

+GATORORANGEGUYI believe if you're over a certain age you can skip the permit, but then if you don't get the permit first you can't ride your bike to the license test, or legally learn to ride on the street before getting your license.

Austin A In reply to Austin A

+GATORORANGEGUY nope. Went to the dmv, filled out papers for the motorcycle license test, and the guy took me out to the motorcycle test pad out back and instructed me on what to do. About 8 different drills including accelerate and stop in a certain distance, accelerate and stop in a box, cone weave, u-turn in the u shaped lines(much wider turn than it looks on video) and other much easier things. I spent more time waiting for him to call me up than taking the actual test, and the dmv was empty
