curious did you use the original k20 frame and add strength to it along with the dodge running gear?

Aaron, it's the original K20 frame rails, but an insanely built transmission and engine mounts. You can see them here: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showpost.php?p=6151899&postcount=168

Any fab work on the firewall in order to fit the cummins?

Not really. We took a hammer to it to clearance the exhaust header. That’s all.

@Jeremy, I actually had someone do the motor/transmission mounts for me, but there are a lot of guys that have done the same thing here:  http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/forumdisplay.php?f=240

@Harris, When I bought my lift kit years ago, I'd planned on a big block & winch on the front, so I'd upgraded to the stiffer 6" lift already.  There isn't much noticeable drop from where it sat with just the 350.

So I have a 70 k10 as well, and I REALLY want to do the same thing! I was just wondering what all you had to do to make it fit?

How did you even out the weight with the heaviness of the Cummins?
