Is this new 2017 Cadillac CTS-V really worth over $103,000?

Best deal if you want a 600+ HP car. I just got a 2016 CTS-V after having a 2012 CTS-V and I love it. It is incredible to drive and I think handles better, and is faster, than the 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo I had that I paid $140,000 for. I looked at a Z06 Corvette and drove it. It was raunchy to drive, sounded horrible and didn't handle as well. Ignore people who say buy whatever over the CTS-V because they probably have not driven either a CTS-V or whaever else they recommend.

People don’t understand when your buying a car like this it’s not a Chevy it’s not a Mazda it’s not a Honda it’s a Damm Cadillac. Luxury production will always be more expensive then a regular production cars X that’s why it cost more to repair a CTS V than a fully loaded z06 . Your buying a name to drive . And that’s Cadillac.

All fantastic cars. Great if you don't need a lot of room. None have the practicality of the CTS-V. This is a big car, only the Demon could potentially match some of the passenger and trunk space, and that's still smaller.

If you drive one you will buy it it handles better than any Audi, Mercedes or BMW and I drove them all the Caddy blew me away when I drove my friends car. If Cadillac ever dropped the price they would sell all of them people are just not ready for a $100,000 Cadillac. is it worth the price that depends on how much you value something and your financial situation hell people pay 40 million for a painting that probably cost the painter less than a dollar to paint, there are some old pennies that collectors pay thousands for. Every car I have ever driven that cost 100.000 and up has driven sweet as hell thats why manufactures charge so much for the privilege of seeing how the other live not everybody’s going to marry a super model and not everybody’s going to own a super car Lol.

Wait a few years and watch the residual value drop like an anvil. Pick it up for 65K or less and it STILL would be overpriced! By the Z06 and call it a day.

The CTS-V is faster. The Z06 only goes 185 mph. The CTS-V is a 200 mph car. Besides, your girl will leave you and your loud-ass uncomfortable car for me and my Cadillac that is more comfortable, handles better and is faster.

65k for those looks and 555whp. Unless you wait 4 years and get it for 38 to 42k than its a steal

Not all of us can swing a 2-seater, the CTS-V is one of the best fast sedan options out there if you have a family.

It's not worth it. I test drove one a while back and I felt like the "gadgets" were gimmicky. The rear view mirror camera sounds cool but it really isn't. The WHP between this and the last gen V is only about 50 hp. And you can get a good used one of those with low mileage for $35k.

I all most bought a v3 but 100k price tag was hard to look over. I ended up looking some more and bought a v2 with 35,000 miles for 32k well worth saveing the 68k to spend on go fast parts

Agreed, a used CTS-V would be one of the biggest competitors to this new one. Hard to pass up on that much power at much less money.

No it isn't - its an experiment to try and improve Cadillac residuals, perception and resale value for their other models. They also tried this with that Cadillac Volt thing and failed horribly... You can currently pick up a low mile ATS for mid teens....

    • Justin Mckune
Justin Mckune In reply to SP392

SP392 and the only ATS you will find for mid teens is the 2013’s which are riddled with reliability issues or the 2.5 base which is not a desirable pick

    • Justin Mckune
Justin Mckune In reply to SP392

SP392 the V series have always held their value far better than the regular models. You’d be hard pressed to find a 2nd gen in any sort of good condition under for under $35 and that’s about 2012+. Sure you can find ones from 2010 with 100k miles for about 25k but that car is 7 years old now and it was in the high 60s new
