I remember hearing about this but never got the specifics on it till now. A lot things just worked out that day, his feet getting caught on the yoke, deciding not to let him go, the altitude, etc. It seems to be a habit of some maintenance workers cutting corners to speed things up. Nuts, bolts, screws etc are engineered to a certain size for a reason and must be maintained. To many times something like this has happened for the very same reason, got in a hurry. Just when I think TheFlightChannel can't get any better they do. You never cease to amaze me with the graphics, the information provided with the details not to mention the addition of side by side views. You are nearing 500,000 subs and I personally can't wait to see you hit 1 Million which won't take long and you certainly deserve. Thank you again Sir for sharing your work and spending the time to put these video's together.

You know what I think when I see these videos? I think should I ever fly again, I'm going to go all Adrian Monk, ask to meet the captain, find out how much flying experience he has, ask to see the maintenance chart, check the tire pressure, make sure there is no tape on those tubes they have for air pressure measurements, ask when the cables were fixed, how are the flaps functioning, do the cargo doors latch correctly, is the light for the landing gear working and is the crew near their limit of flying time. And the crew will sit me down, covering my mouth with duct tape. Lol

The crew are all hero's. Not only did they save passengers lives, they saved the captain. For the captain to go back flying after 5 months, that's a real man. God bless all of you.

"Mean while the captain is being frozen in the 345 mph wind and is losing consciousness due to the thin air with the outside air around -17c" and he survives?? Wow! And I am so glad the plane landed safely. I hope the maintenance supervisor learned a hard lesson and should have served jail time too.

Surviving all of that... Damn, what luck that they didn't let the captain go, thinking he was already dead. What a grim decision to even have to make... Glad everyone made it out alright! Hope they're all still doing well.

One would think that a new windscreen comes with a set of correct bolts. Makes pilotes wanna keep the seat belts on?

Why was the captain not strapped-in? He should have had his shoulder harness on.

all because of some generic screws that probably was over tightened and snapped under pressure.
