This is the Range Rover Sport. It’s a posh SUV with up to seven seats that aims to win you over if you think the regular Range Rover is a bit unathletic.

However, it’s not the newest SUV in its class and its a bit on the heavy side – can the Range Rover Sport hold its own against the competition, and in particular the Audi Q8? Join Mat as he finds out in his latest in-depth review!

Don't worry guys - if you look closely you'll see the water was poured into a rubber tray insert which we removed later, cleaned out and replaced with no spillage or damage to the car at all. Also you will notice the water was sparkling which is Range Rover's favourite.

I own this exact car and I’m not so sure he’s done his homework. Switch it into dynamic mode and then hit the racing helmet icon... from here you will see on the upper screen that the car is still mostly in comfort mode. Manually select dynamic steering, transmission, engine & suspension and you will instantly feel the difference. The steering becomes far more responsive and throttle response comes into its own. From his description of how the car handles I’m fairly certain it was all still in comfort mode as I experienced exactly the same. I could be wrong as this guy gets to test a lot more cars than myself and I’m sure he knows the competition models quite well. Needless to say I am probably quite biased as It’s my baby but I certainly have no issues booting it through corners and have never had any understeer issues at all. I never knew I could wave at the sun roof to open it though! Mine is currently in the body shop thanks to a jealous, key-toting passer by so I’m looking forward to waving at my car like a bell end when I get it back! 😂
