These reviews sounds so spoiled. Like the load cover. Automatic load covers are still quite new, not long ago a lot of things like that was strictly manual and if you're used to doing stuff manually from the majority of your life (adjusting seats, folding seats, open trunk etc) with cars it shouldn't be an issue even if more things becoming automatic lately. People seem to forget how it used to be and never complained back then. Now when they see a car that have something with an automatic solution for something then switch to a car that doesn't have it yet it's suddenly a negative thing. I myself appreciate how things becoming more autonomous and convenient but I'm not complaining about cars that's lacks such features because I'm MORE USED TO THINGS BEING MORE MANUALLY DELT WITH.

And complaining about a car having a sport feature not feeling sporty enough. Do you realize what car you're reviewing?? A Volvo isn't suppose to be sporty, it's a comfortable and practical cruiser with an added sporty touch and not to be a full on sports car when in a sport mode. If you want a fun car there's dedicated car for that. If you want a more sporty quality to the comfortable ride then you appreciate the little extra stiffness and response option over the typical estate car that doesn't have it, because they used to to never have a sport-mode or even optional stiffer suspension or whatever to make the car feel more youthful. So I would appreciate thinking further than your nose and not judge a car for what it's not and not trying to be.

The summery is more considerate than when pointing things out in the middle of the review like wtf? Why contradicting yourself? For example you complained about the lack of sportyness and made it sound negative then in the conclusion you said it's sportier but not full on sporty because it's not suppose to be. Clearly you can be considerate so why not be it all the time when you're pointing it out and just repeat it in your conclusion instead of changeing your perspective? So much bullshit in these reviews. By far not the among the best review channels on youtube. Look at for example Carwow, that's a guy who judge it fairly, who appreciates what you get and understand why something is there at all and not fully commited like sportyness because if it's not an actual sports car he doesn't judge it for it but pointing out the good and bad for a car in it's segment and what people buy it for and how they use it daily. Well he's fotten better at it. And what he says during the driving he says in the conclusion to. He knows the segment and the people it's suppose to attract.

I bought a V60 inscription (51621 EUR) , im swedsih so ofcourse i will support the national make! But jesus, even i have my patriotic limits.. the problems i had with my v60 is insane...
been to the shop 11 times... in 4 months, things like the mesh for the panorama fell down...then it woulden´t close...the trunklid would refuse to shut it self....it would say... check for obstacles... i had nothing in the trunk.... had it for 2 days... Then it would refuse to loch the doors..... 3 times in the shop....at last they changed the door electronic module... it was under warranty but the cost else would had been 1257€.... then winter came.... the door would freeze so you can not close it-... it would just bounce....visited the shop... they changes the lock.... 4 months old car could continue for ever... they bought it back after 6 months..... and have bought another brand! And so far.... noproblems.

Yeah, I don't get this obsession with exhaust pipes on cars these days! Even Porsche will put quad tips on a 4-cylinder, 2-liter ICE Macan! How absurd is that?! It was better when the exhaust pipes were just hidden underneath! What's the point of showing exhaust pipes at all? OK, I guess I get it with a car having a V8 or V12 engine -- but less than that? Really? The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ has a V12 engine with 770 hp and only 2 smallish exhaust pipes that aren't that easy to see; the Porsche Macan base model with 245 hp and 4 cylinders can be optioned with 4 flashy exhaust pipes... man!

As always, thanks for the excellent and robust review Thomas!👍.

Sorry if someone else has already commented on this, but my man Thomas, the T6 is a Kompressor/supercharger with added turbo, so a “superturbo” engine, thus the supercharger whine at lower RPM’s. The supercharger engages from start, then relays to the turbo just after 3K RPM’s. Add the Polestar Optimization software, to really bring this engine and transmission to life! I just added it to my V90 T6 R-Design, and am very impressed with the much improved engine midrange and higher RPM power with faster upshifts and downshifts. The engine seems more refined, has less distasteful growling over 2,500 RPM’s, with this Polestar flash.

I have this comment added elsewhere but will repeated it here too.
Ok. So question from a Volvo lover (former....not yet but ...): what is so luxurious in this Volvo (and others from so called “premium” segment ?
Be specific please. It is powerful, no doubts. Nothing really exceptional but at least adequate. At the same time it is heavy drinker! Downsizing only works if executed reasonably (e.g. T5 engine), no longer the case here. They went too far and it does consumes too much fuel!
Beyond that, what is really premium? Be objective. Are rear seats different than on typical car of this size? No! Are rear seats heated? Yes, if you pay premium. You need to pay just half of that on a non-premium car, it is fact. Are rear sears adjustable? No, not available.....as oppose to some non-premium cars e.g. Subaru Outback. Are rear seats headrest adjustable? No? Are rear seats shade as available like on some non-premium cars? No! Not even an option! Are front seats settings memorized? Yes!.....like on so many non-premium cars...except that only two positions are now stored...as opposed to three positions on all older Volvo’s. ......and several non-premium brands.
Front seats head rest adjustable? No, not at all.
So what is premium then? Noise level...guess what..it is not . Measure it with your cell phone. Pretty good? Yes! Premium and exceptional? No!
Ergonomic solutions? Lights control so excellent on legacy Volvo’s with separate control panel included? No! Now in the steering wheel column levers... crap like on many non-premium cars.....poor trend in the industry.
Touch screen for every car function.....try it yourself and find out... how distracting it is ( yes there are worse cars like Audi with its tons of screen approach).
Let me stop now. Negative attitude? Not really...realistic!
Your turn please. Constructive comments are welcome.....aggressive ones not so much. Thanks!.

Just the name Volvo still conjures up an image of some big ugly box ahead of a long line of traffic being held up by it. It does look very much better now inside and out, but still not likely to be the car enthusiasts choice and very much an old mans car. I too struggle with logic of many auto selectors. BMW and other you push the shifter forward to select reverse and pull it back for forward. Where's the logic?
