wow. Respect. Toyota knew it wasn't cutting it with in the mid size SUV market anymore against the lookers that Mazda, Hyundai, Kia, and others were bringing along with their almost all included base features.

I test drove it, I found the interior cramped the way the console encroaches into knee room, same on the door side. Maybe its just me.

Sure there’s towing capacity, but there’s no option for a hitch on the website. Nor does it suggest that there is one on the ADVENTURE.

Next time they completely redo this SUV, it will be a full electric car. People are going to need to begin to think about how early they want to be joining the EV revolution. There are not many on the market yet. But, expect there to be a flood of them coming in the next five years, after a slow rollout over the next two years.

Progress in the batteries is still very fluid. So, the miracle batteries are still just a bit away. My strategy is going to be to try to delay any EV purchase until the graphine batteries are out and well priced. Projections are that they will begin trickeling out in 2024.

The danger is that as soon as the market begins to move toward EV's in a big way, gas fueled cars are going to depreciate in a big way. So, maybe you want to arrive at 2024 with not too new of a vehicle. Less value to obsolete.

If you buy a car this year, you can get the modern safety electronic package and not buy another car until we are well into the transition to EV 's. The batteries still have some development to go. EV's are only going to get better and better. There is little advantage to being in the early wave of these cars.

I really like this NEW RAV 4 Look! I only wish Toyota would bargain a little on the retail sticker. Knowing I can get $5000 off a 2019 Santa Fe’ or Any American product makes me feel like I am paying to much for the Toyota. Yes it will hold it’s value better but you pay for that up front and it holds it value better for RETAIL sales.

I will never get why toyota doesn't put this level of interior design into their 4runners. Literally all they need to do is to put a bomb ass interior and they will sell a lot more.

Is it better looking than last years? It's hard to say. They are both real eyesore with Asian styling. Toyota designs, in most cases, for it's home market. It's the elephant in the room with most reviewers, that most Toyota veichles are plain ugly to Western eyes. You have to value reliability above looks and function to want to buy a Toyota. But, if Toyota was to also style their cars well, they would likely put a few more companies out of business. That would bring down trade pressures on them, so Toyota doesn't compete full out.

The RAV4 Hybrid will cannibalize Prius sales. 39 MPG Combined, why bother with a Prius. Maybe the Prime.

Some drivers prefer a small car over a SUV. The upcoming hybrid Corolla will make a larger dent in Prius sales than RAV4.

      +Brian P. US Pricing:

      '19 RAV4 LE Hybrid AWD - $27,700
      '19 Prius LE AWD - $26,380

Probably before destination. Not much of a savings.

Ivan Vojt — Prius is much cheaper, and still gets way better mileage. Just a much smaller car with a much lower profile.
