Probably my most satisfying and definitely most cost-saving fix ever! I did some research into the ESP light staying on and found this: www.ttforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=416449

Possible faults:
57-10 - Electric Circuit Failure - Intermittent
01423 - Lateral Acceleration Sensor (G200)
27-10 - Implausible Signal - Intermittent

If I've missed anything or you need any type of clarification, feel free to ask.

That Símbol Blinks And i Lose Power too!
When I go over 40m/hr the ASR Símbol starts to blink and I have to turn it off manually to be able to drive with out the light blinking randomly and lose power.
      Did yours have similar symptoms?
      Mine is Audi tt 2000.

Dani_el I think thats an actual problem with the car rather than anything electronic because it sounds like the traction control is trying to engage.

Could be something like an issue with the drivetrain or wheels etc if its just kicking in over 40mph. I would get it checked out

Geoffrey Rawlings apparently it is. Annoying thing is how much Audi want to charge for doing the job themselves and leaves so many people helpless! Hope it works for you 😊

Tim Baker damn I wish I could help. If I come across anything I’ll let you know. Might be worth asking on the Audi facebook pages

Had my 06 plate (last of the old shape) in my garage for 4 months as I got an Audi A1 and couldn't afford to run both . Just got the TT out today to prepare it for sale and this exact light came on . Gutted as 3 days before I garaged it I spent £1400 getting cambelt water pump , dampers , tyres, mounts wishbones and a service . I might give it a go after watching your vid .

D Tox ah damn well I hope this helps. It’s definitely worth it for what it is, literally can be done in about 15 minutes! Let us know how it goes or if you find something else? Good luck!

Moe moe Hi, thanks I’m glad it helped. Have you got a picture or description of where the steering sensor is? If I see it I could try and help...

Hi mine was on a W reg so year 2000. The part number on mine was 1J0907651A. I think there's another one with a different part number but not sure if it would work the same. Hope that helps.
